Tell us about the shoot vision.
When the shoot vision began, we were looking at how we could highlight the unique aspects of the venue. As we processed that, two big pieces came to the forefront of the design: the patterns and color schemes of Southern Events’ beautiful wedgewood series plates, and our model’s own gorgeous wedding dress. Once those two elements came into view, I created a mood board and shared it with the incredibly talented Emily Kennedy, and she let her creative imagination run wild. – Emily Humphries, Simply Yours Weddings
Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?
Megan: Courtney (our model) was recently married and she and her sweet husband were willing to basically hang out and be themselves. It brought such a sweet authenticity to it that we loved.
Were there any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome for the styled shoot?
Megan: It was pouring rain, which prevented any outdoor photos. But there is so much natural light that Courtney was able to successfully work with the sun every time it chose to peek through the clouds!
