Sunny + Bryan’s Wedding in Belize from James M. Williams -Sartorial- | Nashville

As lovers of the outdoors, it’s no surprise that Sunny and Bryan chose to have an outdoor wedding ceremony. However, this was not just any outdoor ceremony! The two eloped to the Ka’ana Resort in Belize, sharing their vows to one another cliffside with views like none other! Their bright and tropical theme was accompanied by Bryan’s custom made modern royal blue suit designed by local Nashville menswear designer James M Williams -Sartorial-. This post is taking us to new heights (literally!) and we’re loving every second of their elopement. Enjoy the extraordinary scenery in these photos from their day below!

Sunny + Bryan

Xunantunich – San Ignacio, Belize

How did you guys meet?

Sunny: We went to high school together and reconnect after 18 years (January 2018). Bryan was living in Tampa and I was living here in Nashville. We did long distance for 3 months when we decided it was time for him to relocate here in April, four months after that we were engaged!

Tell us about your engagement!

Sunny: We are both very active, adventurous and love the outdoors. We were on a trip to Vegas for gambling, Cirque de Soleil , and hiking. We were hiking the Valley of Fire and climbed to the top. He had beat me up there and was grabbing the ring box out of his bag. It wasn’t until I had made it to the top myself and taking in all the views did I notice when I turned around he was on one knee and said “will you grow old with me?”

What was the vision for your wedding?

Sunny: Just the two of us. Which it was. Us and the officiant on top of Xunantunich in San Ignacio, Belize!

What was your theme and what inspired it ?

Sunny: Contemporary, bright and tropical!

Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?

Sunny: The reception we had two months later here in Nashville was at The Bell Tower. We spent the most on the premium bar, catering and the band. We saved on flowers and decorations.

What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?

Sunny: Don’t lose sight of what you want. Do what’s going to make you happy. No one is going to remember what kind of flowers you had. No need to stress, it will all be perfect and memorable.

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?

Sunny: It was epic. I remember looking out at the view in disbelief that my dream had come true, that I had found my person, that God had blessed me with the man that I had prayed so long for.

These photos don’t even seem real! What a beautiful day! And that blue tuxedo by James M Williams -Sartorial- could not have been a more perfect shade. Thank you so much to Sunny and Bryan for sharing more about their adventurous elopement with us!
