The Cordelle Nashville Wedding by Posh Occasions

Dreamy Garden-Inspired Wedding at The Cordelle ft. Posh Occasions

We love a timeless celebration. And when it’s as stunning as this dreamy garden-inspired wedding at The Cordelle, we can’t resist sharing! Erring on the side of romance, the light and airy vision of blushing bride Hannah and her hubby-to-be Kellan was brought to life with help from Posh Occasions. Kellan is a Black Hawk Pilot currently stationed in Fort Campbell which is why they chose to have their wedding in Nashville that was complete with an abundance of pretty blooms. Every detail carried a special meaning, including the food which consisted of a menu of favorites along with dishes that represent where they each are from. Holcomb & Co. didn’t miss any element or moment when capturing this day; even documenting a special gift — a leather folio made for the couple in which the wedding script and their vows was given by Hannah’s uncle who officiated their day. This one is a good one, y’all. Enjoy the bliss of it all!

Tell us about your engagement!

Hannah: Kellan treated me to a trip to Disneyworld with some friends of ours and their little boy. He sent me to the spa with our friend Ashley where we got massages and manicures. We had dinner reservations inside the Cinderella Castle and he told me that if we arrive early then we can take advantage of a photo opportunity in front of the castle. But when we arrived early, I noticed nobody else was there with the photographer. The photographers guided us into the private gardens next to the castle and started taking photos of us. At one point, when I turned away and back around, Kellan was down on one knee with a Tiffany blue box in hand. I immediately started crying and shaking and almost forgot to say yes after pulling him in for a tear-filled kiss. We proceeded to a fancy dinner in the castle, fireworks from a private viewing location, and a celebration afterwards complete with Cinderella-themed desserts and champagne. He truly is my Prince Charming!

What was the vision for your wedding?

Hannah: All I really wanted was for every detail to be intentional, personal, and thoughtful, to showcase who we are. Every song, every flower, every bite, had a very specific reason/story behind it.

What was your theme and what inspired it?

Hannah: I really wanted to take advantage of the gorgeous courtyard and covered porch at The Cordelle, so my vision was A Summer Night Dream/Southern garden party – light and airy, simple and elegant. Twinkly lights, candles, white flowers. Let the venue speak for itself.

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?

Hannah: 1. My mother in law is a professional ballroom dancer so she graciously choreographed our first dance. She taught my husband how to dance at a young age, so it was such a dream being swirled around the dance floor by him. 2. In my family, we follow the Italian wedding cookie table tradition. My mother, aunts, and family friends made thousands of assorted Italian cookies, and my mom drove them on ice all the way from Kansas City, MO to Nashville. It was the centerpiece to our wedding. What a labor of love! 3. We wanted to include our dogs in some way but couldn’t actually bring them. So we had drink stirrers with their faces on them, as well as figurines of them on the back of our cake as a surprise laugh. 4. I knew I wanted a first look with my dad, but I also grew up wanting a first look with my brothers. I am the only daughter, with three brothers and they’ve always been so important to me. That first look was super sweet and I cherish those photos.

What are some tips you can share with other brides planning their weddings?

Hannah: Don’t sweat the small stuff. Hire a planner. And only do what you and your fiancé want to do. Period.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding?

Hannah: Our dinner choices: BBQ to represent Kansas City (Bride’s hometown) Crab Cakes to represent Virginia (Groom’s hometown) Nashville Hot Chicken (our current city) Tacos (our favorite food).
