Carlie: Jamaica, Bahamas and St. Lucia.
Why did you choose these destinations as the best?
Carlie: Jamaica is the home to a magnificent landscape of rolling mountains lined by endless white sand beaches. This island has natural beauty with lush foliage and cascading waterfalls. Jamaica features the world’s best beaches, scuba diving, golf and world- class dining. Saint Lucia will enchant you with its ancient volcano, rainforests and charming Marigot Bay. Bahamas, with over 700 islands, these islands are perfect for leisure swims and scuba diving. Nassau is known for casinos, duty free shopping. Exuma has the pig swim, sport fishing and golf.
What amenities does each location have that attracts honeymooners?
Carlie: While the island of St. Lucia is small, only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide, it is a volcanic island and famous for the Pitons also known as twin peaks and cocoa. So much adventure on this island, buggy, deep sea fishing, golf, rainforest, hike, waterfalls, horseback riding, mud bath, hot- springs and more.
What is Jamaica known for? Jamaica is known to be the birthplace of reggae, Bob Marley, world’s fastest sprinters, Blue Mountain coffee, Red Stripe beer, Jamaican rum, beautiful beaches, jerk dishes, luxurious all-inclusive resorts and majestic waterfalls
Why visit the Bahamas? Basically, there’s warm weather, natural beauty, great shopping deals and a wide range of activities. Most travelers visit the Bahamas to enjoy the thrills and comforts of the big all-inclusive resorts with their on-site activities. #1 popular pick. PIG SWIM. Swimming pigs are rare but not the only exotic creatures you can find on this paradise island. Enjoy footprints in the sandbar while taking amazing photos with the shimmering blue sea.
Are there specific times of year that are best to travel to the Caribbean?
Carlie: Great thing about the Caribbean year round they typically have beautiful weather. The best time to visit St. Lucia is between May and June. These late spring and early summer months offer wonderful weather – high 70s to 80s – plus there are enviable room rates at the best hotels. Music lovers should consider visiting in early May specifically to attend the St. Lucia. St Lucia is least likely to be effected by hurricanes.
The best time to visit the Bahamas is from mid-December to mid-April, the country’s peak season. Though temperatures here are great year-round (they rarely dip below 60 degrees), the islands fall within the hurricane belt, so hurricanes may be a factor between June 1 and Nov. 30 (the Atlantic hurricane season).
The best time to visit Jamaica is November to mid-December. That’s when the island’s already beautiful weather (ranging from mid-70s to the high 80s all year-round) is the most pleasant and the hotel and flight deals are the easiest to find.
