Nashville Bride Guide Talks About Fall Wedding Trends on Today in Nashville

Last Wednesday, I had the opportunity to appear on Channel 4's morning show Today in Nashville again to talk about fall wedding trends! And nobody knows fall wedding trends more than the lovely Nashville wedding professionals who are working with brides day in and day out! So I chose some of the best in the business to showcase some samples on the show! After carefully crafting a theme of the top fall wedding trends for 2016, each and every vendor pulled together to create almost a little “mock wedding” on live TV! Here are 4 themes we went with for fall 2016's top wedding trends in Nashville:

Rose Gold/Copper

Marble

Natural Elements

Geometric Shapes

All of these items are from local vendors! Check out the full video of the segment!

When you’re engaged in Nashville one of the first things you’re going to start thinking about is invitations. These sample invitations are printed by Darby Cards and designed by Little Pom Paper. You’ll notice the design brought in neutral colors, geometric shapes and also a marble background. As for the envelope, calligrapher Claire Cohen Lettering uses rose gold ink and really fun lettering on your invitations. You can see how the gold ink is raised too! Remember your invitations are the first impression your guests have of your wedding!

Next you can start thinking about your cake! This cake is baked by local wedding vendor Baked in Nashville. For fall you can go with darker details on your cake. Another fun trend is to make each layer different. In this case, we start out with a marble layer, bring in some geometric patterns with rose gold lines in the middle layer. Tiffany of Baked in Nashville actually uses edible gold in her creations which is a fun element! and top it off with a solid charcoal layer. Plus, she added in some more rose gold flowers to tie the whole look together. Another trend that Baked in Nashville does is macaroons – they are also a great trend for fall as well!

When you’re thinking about your table scape for your fall wedding, think of textures and natural elements. All of the elements of this table scape are by Liberty Party Rental. They really upped their inventory with rose gold and copper items for this season’s weddings like this copper charger and moscow mule mugs! Don’t be afraid to mix metals either – check out the arezzo gold flatware against the thick textured charcoal panama linen.

Green Finch Floral Design provided the centerpiece on the show! Greenery is a huge trend in florals this season. Even mixing wildflower pedestal centerpieces with geometric decor on your table is great for fall. Add in some light purples and even some softer florals for your fall look.

Mark is dressed in Street Tuxedo’s medium gray suit – pair it with tan shoes and a cappuccino bowtie with a little texture to it to complete the look. Street Tuxedo has all the latest trends like fitted suits, blue suits and more!

And finally, we had a real engaged Nashville couple Mark + Erica modeling a dress and tux! Erica’s dress is from LVD Bridal – they are a consignment dress shop here in Nashville and they provide pre-loved and designer sample dresses at a discounted price. It’s the Kennedy dress from Sarah Seven’s collection. For fall we’re seeing more simplistic styles, but it’s always a great idea to bring in some sequins and glitz for a fall wedding. Headpieces are also a trend – bringing in a more bohemian look like this one from Amanda Judge.

I could not have done this without the help of all of these incredible Nashville wedding vendors. Please check them out if you are planning your wedding – I highly recommend each and every one of them! Check out more on Today in Nashville's Facebook Live feed and also on our Instagram page!
