Tell us about Dark & Dreamy Studio + how long you’ve been in business.
Glenda: Dark & Dreamy Studio is an edgy and elegant studio space featuring soft feminine touches. This 1280 square foot studio highlights exposed brick, hardwood floors and plenty of natural light. The main room is perfectly curated for the creative to rent for photoshoots, intimate gatherings and social meetups. The secondary room will offer themed décor that will be restyled quarterly. We opened in April 2023.
How did you get started in weddings?
Glenda: We think our studio is perfect for brides! Whether you want your own bridal, engagement or boudoir photoshoot or want to rent for a mini bridal event — picnics, hair, bridesmaid get together, hair and makeup trials or space to get ready for the day of.
What’s the philosophy behind Dark & Dreamy Studio?
Glenda: We want you to feel confident, beautiful and comfortable in our space when taking photos!
What are your strengths compared to others in your category?
Glenda: We bring more of an edgy & feminine aesthetic. We host our own special events open to the public. Owner is on site for every photoshoot and event. Studio is located on the first floor and has ample parking (lot & street) Located 9 minutes from Downtown.
What is the most innovative new product, service, style or other aspect of your industry that brides and grooms might appreciate?
Glenda: We plan on hosting mini bridal pop ups for brides and grooms. It will be a cocktail style party to meet and interact with local Nashville vendors on an intimate level.
