Antique vibes collided with a modern moody aesthetic in this winter styled shoot at Ravenswood Mansion that’s chockfull of eye-catching detail. With Berries n Cream Bakery and Bloom Coffee Cart wanting to collaborate, they enlisted the help of J Maxine Events to make their vision a reality. Natural colors, wild wintery floral arrangements, beautifully curated grazing boards, and perfectly poured drinks made up the picnic-inspired details with timeless apparel and gorgeous gowns from Bella Bridesmaids adding to the vintage style of the editorial of which Emmaline Rodriguez captured wonderfully. Tell us about the shoot vision.
We wanted a vintage winter style incorporating as much nature as possible. Originally hoping for snow and a fire, instead we got the low winter sun creating the ambiance of the scene. We wanted the vision of a glam gathering to cater to more events not just weddings. Some of the businesses wanted photos of specific products or brands and to get human interaction with our products.
What was the theme and what inspired it?
Bloom Coffee Cart and Berries n Cream Bakery wanted to do a styled shoot together but realized we don’t have the talent to bring the vision together. So we reached out to J Maxine Events to help us put everything together. We were unanimous on the theme of vintage, winter, and outside but the challenge came when acquiring certain items . So we kept colors as neutral and natural as possible.
What details were used to create the theme?
Most Items were things we had around our houses or products we use in our businesses. Every few days we would text each other saying yes or no if something matched or didn’t match. Thanks to J Maxine Events who helped guide us with what would fit and what didn’t.
Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?
Everyone was in great spirits and it was most everyone’s first time in one way or another. New to modeling, new to collaborating, or new to styled shoots in general, we had fun creating these moments.
Were there any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome?
Some businesses wanted photos to highlight their brand or specific items. Most of the shoot was originated around this from the beginning so we were able to keep on track and execute the overall goal. The main goal being human interaction with our products.
