Niya: For the past 10 years, Pantora Bridal’s designer Andrea Pitter has been on a mission to transform engaged women into breathtaking brides with her stunning collections of bridal dresses. Pantora Bridal is committed to ‘representing the unrepresented in mainstream bridal’. Pantora Bridal is taking center stage with notable mentions from publications such as Vogue Paris, The Knot, Brides, and Essence. With the support of her #PantoraBrides and digital #PantoraTribe of nearly 150K followers and growing, Andrea is a force and inspiration in an industry that often lacks inclusivity and representation for black designers.
How would you describe the Pantora style?
Niya: Pantora Bridal is known for its pairing of classic silhouettes with modern textiles and embellishments is the choice for stand out brides who remain true to their everyday vibrancy. The brand popularized inclusive linings, illusion mesh and silhouettes that compliment women of color; achieved through the creation of Forgotten Skin Tone (FST), created to compliment a wide range of skin tones.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about Pantora bridal at Luxe Bridal Studio?
Niya: Pantora Bridal is about representation. Representation is important because I need to be able to see myself when I’m shopping, and I need to know that my voice is heard. I need to know that my money is going to a place that represents my values. Black women do, in fact, get married, despite what the media tells you. Black love is very prevalent, despite what the media tells you. So we need to show as much Black love, Black body acceptance and Black joy as possible.
Why would you say this is the most popular designer dress line that you carry?
Niya: I believe Pantora Bridal is the most popular designer we carry because simply put, our brides can relate. The designs and sizing are body inclusive, down to the different shades of illusion to match a variation of skin tones. We are not the same shade of nude.
