From a four-hour coffee shop conversation to a deeply personal barn wedding celebration, Sierra and Connor’s wedding was rooted in intention, faith, and choosing each other every step of the way. Set against the natural beauty of The White Dove Barn, their early October wedding felt warm, romantic, and effortlessly meaningful—never staged, always heartfelt. One of the most memorable moments of the day was their choreographed first dance, brought to life with the help of Morgan from Curtsy Ballroom, making the moment feel uniquely them. With hand-custom florals, candlelit details, and thoughtful nods to where their relationship began (including an espresso pour in place of a champagne tower), this Tennessee wedding was a true reflection of their journey from long distance to forever. How did you guys meet?
Sierra: We met on November 17, 2023, at a coffee shop in Tennessee. It was supposed to be networking, but we ended up talking for hours about dreams, bucket lists, and the future. Everything just felt easy and natural from that first conversation. We made it official less than a month later on December 11th, and it became the beginning of our forever.
Tell us about your engagement!
Sierra: Connor proposed on March 14, 2025, and completely surprised me. He told me we were having our little “spring break” weekend, and we got all dressed up to watch the sunset and go on a date like we usually do. Turns out he’d been planning it for months. It was intimate, emotional, and so perfectly us – focused on our future together rather than anything flashy. Everything just felt right.

What was the vision for your wedding?
Sierra: We wanted it to feel warm, romantic, and deeply personal. Not like a production, but a heartfelt celebration centered on love, faith, and the people who’ve shaped our lives.
What was your theme and what inspired it?
Sierra: Romantic barn elegance inspired by the venue’s natural beauty and the warmth of an early October wedding in Tennessee. We loved soft candlelight, natural textures, and timeless details that felt elevated but still inviting.

What details were used to create your theme?
Sierra: We used steel blue, white, and gold. I carried an all-white bouquet, and the bridesmaids had different shades of blue roses mixed with white. The centerpieces had tall gold stands with blue and white florals. We used gold chargers with blue napkins, and candlelight made everything feel intimate as evening came. We let the barn’s natural charm shine through.
Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?
Sierra: We splurged on photography, videography, our venue, and dinner. We also invested in having our DJ professionally produce the song I wrote, capturing me playing guitar and singing. Working with Morgan from Curtsy Ballroom was actually a trade – I did a business photoshoot for her, and she gave us dance lessons! We saved on DIYed signage and printed details.

What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?
Sierra: Protect your relationship more than your timeline. The small stuff feels huge while you’re planning, but what really matters is how you treat each other. Step back, breathe, and remember why you’re doing this. We navigated long distance between Nashville and Knoxville through most of our relationship, so we learned early on to prioritize us over everything else.
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Sierra: Our first look was one of the most special parts of the day. We read our handwritten personal vows to each other and got to have that intimate moment before all of our favorite people arrived. It calmed our nerves and made everything feel real. Another incredibly meaningful moment was playing a song I wrote for Connor as guests were seated. I’d recorded it with our DJ, and the lyrics tell our story from meeting as dreamers in a coffee shop to building our life together. Hearing it fill the open aired ceremony pavillion right before I walked down the aisle was unforgettable. The song, “Forever and Always, Your Wife” by Sierra Langford, is now on Spotify and Apple Music, which makes that moment even more special to look back on. Our choreographed first dance was another favorite. We also did an espresso pour instead of a champagne tower, which was such a cute nod to where our story began and felt so us.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding?
Sierra: The day felt like a true reflection of our journey – from a four-hour coffee conversation in November 2023 to promising forever on October 2, 2025. We navigated 78 weekends of long distance, drove over 23,000 miles between Nashville and Knoxville, and made it work because we knew this was it. The espresso pour and donut wall were fun surprises, and seeing everyone enjoy the celebration we created was the best feeling.
