Warm & Luxurious Styled Shoot by Perfect Day Beauty

Providing us with timeless and sophisticated inspiration, this warm and luxurious styled shoot by Perfect Day Beauty aims to inspire. A talented group of vendors chose the opulent Union Station Hotel to snap some portraits that combine soft toasty shades with chic and sleek attire. Perfect Day Beauty brought out the best features of their model bride; pairing well with the swoon-worthy bouquet by Stella Rose Floral and complementing her gorgeous gown from Adorn Bridal. And although the rain may have set it, cold sparks from High Tone Entertainment lit up the photos; giving us the coolest effects in these photos by Courtney Davidson. Embrace the beauty ahead of you in these stunning photos!

Tell us about the shoot vision.

Shani: The vision was to be creative without the constraints of a wedding day in a hand-picked venue with hand-picked vendors. To have fun and not be on a schedule and to have the freedom to get shots in wind or rain, all while having a luxury high-end look.

What was the theme and what inspired it?

Shani: For the inspiration, Courtney looked to the hotel. We wanted a luxury high-end hotel wedding theme that would translate to modern but timeless.

What details were used to create the theme?

Shani: Courtney used the colors and look in Union Station to decide on a mood board and theme. The gold details and colors in the walls and curtains were used to decide the florals and lighting. The cold sparks were an added brightening effect with ambient lighting on a rainy day.

Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?

Shani: The photographer stopped traffic to get me into the parking lot. The shoot took place on Veterans Day during the downtown Nashville veterans day parade. The traffic and roadblocks caused some delays. ALWAYS CHECK DOWNTOWN EVENTS BEFORE PLANNING!!!

Were there any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome?

Shani: Much like the rest of 2019, the weather was not what we had hoped for. It was very windy, cold, and raining off and on. We decided to use this to our advantage and get some fun windblown shots. Those pictures turned out to be some of our favorites and also it goes to show why brides should consider having their hair and makeup artist stay on until all the pictures are done for touch-ups and assistance in photos. I was able to fix our model’s red nose, messed up hair, redo her lips, and add more color to her face for the dimmed lighting photos.

Everything about this editorial has us inspired! Huge thanks to Perfect Day Beauty for sharing this warm and luxurious styled shoot with us!
