Taylor Swift Fans Will Be Obsessed with This Garden Styled Shoot

Calling all Swifties! Prepare to be obsessed with this enchanting garden styled shoot! A local team of vendors came together for a day filled with florals, colors, and fairytales. This whimsical editorial consists of a two-part inspiration, both taking place at the beautiful Hermitage Golf Course. The first design is a tea garden setting where vibrant blooms and a tablescape complete with vintage china tea from The Wedding Plate. The romanticism of this look was complete with a gold hand-lettered sign with detailing the words of Taylor Swift’s hit song “Today Was a Fairytale.” The second design is described as Lavender Haze where a purple and greenery color palette took center stage against the picturesque backdrop. The model couples’ attire and the way they posed were the cherry on top of it all and brought life to the looks. Oh and did we mention this all took place in august? Just another nod to a ballad from one of the greatest musicians of all time! Tell us about the shoot vision.

Ashley (Photographer): The vision for this shoot was very much florals and color! I wanted to really focus on color for this shoot as it is definitely trending for weddings at the moment and what I really wanted to add to my portfolio for myself. Florals can add so much to a wedding day, so I went heavy with them for both bridal sets; and Marisol from Flourishing Flowers by Mari did such a fantastic job! We very much wanted tea garden in the Spring vibes and definitely wanted to play up Hermitage Golf Course’s Garden Venue, which was the perfect location for the shoot.

What was the theme and what inspired it?

Ashley: The theme was a garden party themed and really highlighted the venue space so perfectly; which we really wanted to highlight in the images. Whimsical Romance is also another word that came to mind when I was planning this shoot for myself and other creatives.

What details were used to create the theme?

Ashley: For both the Lavender Haze (hello, Taylor Swift) and the Tea Garden Romance set; we really relied heavily on the florals and rental pieces that brought the vision really to life. Lavender Haze focused on the purples and greenery while the tea garden set focused on brighter florals and pink china that were provided by Lisa of The Wedding Plate (literal dream). Without the help of these vendors, this shoot would not have come together the way it did! (Think Bridgerton as far as the colors and vibe) When choosing the gowns I really wanted whimsical & romantic gowns.

Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?

Ashley: Coming together with other creatives is such a huge inspiration, and getting to collaborate and work with vendors in the wedding industry is so amazing. The team at Hermitage Golf Course was a dream to work with as well, everyone came together to create such a whimsy romantic shoot.

Were there any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome?

Ashley: The HEAT! It was the hottest day of the week in August haha and truly we worked our tails off putting all of the touches together for the attendees to see, and it was such a joy to see everyone love on each set, my heart and soul went into this shoot and I hope it shows! Each vendor that was a part of the day, did such a wonderful job braving the heat and bringing my vision to life.
