Simple, Joy-Filled Centennial Park Elopement in Nashville

Sometimes the most meaningful wedding days are the simplest ones. Aggie and Sam, expecting their first child, chose to celebrate their love with a low-key elopement at Centennial Park before baby arrived—focusing on presence, connection, and honest moments over production. With a modern, laid-back vision and a documentary approach thats to Sarah Nichole Photo + Films, the day unfolded naturally. Centennial Park’s open setting provided the perfect backdrop, allowing real life to weave seamlessly into the celebration. As a public space, the park brought unexpected and joyful moments—like a small child clapping during the ceremony, a candid detail that perfectly captured the spirit of the day. This Centennial Park elopement in Nashville was a beautiful reminder that weddings don’t have to be elaborate to be meaningful. Sometimes, the most unforgettable moments are the ones you never plan.

Centennial Park

From the photographer, Sarah: This season, I had the joy of photographing Aggie and Sam’s elopement here, and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day.

When I asked the two of them to describe their relationship in one word, they chose “steadfast” saying “it reflects the strength, commitment, and deep bond we have shared over the years, transitioning from friends to partners, and now to fiancés and soon-to-be parents.”

What was supposed to be an elopement at the courthouse turned into multiple “I do’s” at Centennial Park. The whole park was glowing with love and color—the trees full of new leaves, flowers in bloom, and joy in the air.

Tell us about the couple.

Sarah: A sweet couple expecting their first child. They wanted to have a simple elopement before baby arrived.

Tell us about the couple’s vision for their wedding.

Sarah: A low-key celebration with a documentary focus.

What was their theme?

Sarah: Modern, laid back.

Can you share your favorite memory or any special moments from the day?

Sarah: Given that Centennial Park is a public place, there were lots of folks wandering around. Well, during the ceremony, there was a cute little kid clapping to the side. I caught that moment, and it just cracks me up and tells the story of the day.

We couldn’t be happier for Aggie and Sam! Huge thank you to the both of them and Sarah Nichole Photo + Films for sharing! Wishing this little family all the best!
