Stunning Blue and Mauve Wedding at The Cordelle

Oh my word y’all! Today’s real wedding feature is so beautiful that we literally couldn’t stop staring at these photos by Kera Photography. Marrying their favorite colors for the prettiest southern soiree, Whitney and Taylor’s stunning blue and mauve wedding at The Cordelle is a must-see! While the details bring the WOW factor, the day as a whole was quaint and charming — just as the two hoped it would be. As lovers of the outdoors, having an alfresco ceremony in the gardens followed by an indoor reception with wood textures and warm vibes could not have been more fitting. They even included their fur baby as part of their day and just wait until you see the pink linens, blue goblets, and floral lined runners dressed each table! We are surely smitten and know you’re going to be too!

Tell us about your engagement!

Whitney: After we graduated medical school May 2019, we traveled to Iceland, Scotland, Germany, and Italy together. Our last week was in Rome and after a very romantic day of amazing food, beautiful sightseeing, and walking up and down the different streets together hand in hand, we were walking up the middle of the Spanish Steps, and he turned to look at me once we were at the top, and bent down on one knee. I didn’t even let him get the question out before I bent down to hug and kiss him and say “YES YES YES!!!” It was July 4th – very fitting for Taylor, he is a HUGE lover of America!

What was the vision for your wedding?

Whitney: We have very large families so we new the guest list was going to be big, but we really wanted it to feel intimate. Had it not broken our mothers’ hearts, we would have eloped on the side of a mountain. We wanted it to feel like us… outdoors, southern, a little vintage, and warm, just like home.

What was your theme and what inspired it?

Whitney: Romantic, Southern, and a touch of vintage.. The colors are our favorites, mauve is mine (Whitney) and deep blue is (one of) Taylor’s. We are getting married outside because we love the outdoors, but we loved that the venue is a house because we also are very homey. We are foodies, and we kept the menu true to our nature – delicious, hearty, and Southern. We also like the stripped down look of everything, keeping it simple with decor, but still very romantic. Taylor is incredibly romantic and makes me swoon every day, multiple times a day and so making our wedding day full of that romantic feel is what we love.

What are some tips you can share with other brides planning their weddings?

Whitney: After all the planning, the most important thing is to soak in the day surrounded by all the people who love you and have supported you. Keep what’s most important, most important.

This vendor team surely made magic happen and these images are proof! Special thanks to the talented Kera Photography for sharing Whitney and Taylor’s stunning blue and mauve wedding at The Cordelle with us.
