Opting for a timeless wedding during a festive time of year, Haley and Joey’s classic winter wedding by Details Nashville is the epitome of elegance. Beautiful burgundy and crisp whites fused flawlessly with romantic candlelight and greenery for a day that celebrated the warm cheer of the season without being over the top. Haley looked marvelous in her striking gown with her handsome groom looking dashing in his military attire. And although the details were well curated, all the two really wanted was a room filled with everyone they loved, which is exactly what they got! Tell us about your engagement!

Haley: Joey was about to deploy to the Middle East for 9 months and made our last date night before he left one to remember!

Joey: Just to keep Haley on her toes, I waited to propose until a week before I deployed (one of these days I’ll stop procrastinating). On the day of our engagement, I attended a work seminar at Austin Peay where I was supposed to meet Haley for lunch. Due to my aforementioned procrastination, I cancelled on her for lunch to pick up the ring. Our final date night before I left the country was one to remember and Haley made me the happiest man in the world when she said Yes!

What was the vision for your wedding?

Haley: We are both very traditional and like the look of classic and simple. Since it was a winter wedding we wanted it to feel warm and cozy and romantic, without it feeling like Christmas. I love the look of candles and so that was the focus for the centerpieces. The deep red wine color of my bridesmaids dresses and accent flowers allowed for that warm winter feel without it being too holly jolly! Our main thing was we wanted to be surrounded my friends and family.

What was your theme and what inspired it?

Haley: Simple, Classic, Romantic

What are some tips you can share with other brides planning their weddings?

Haley: ENJOY EVERY MOMENT! It goes by in the blink of an eye. As a bride, you spend weeks and months planning, make sure you enjoy all of it because it’s only one day! Try not to stress! The only people who will know if something isn’t exactly as you planned it will be you. It is going to be the perfect day despite little hiccups or weather. We were so nervous about the weather – the day started out cold and raining (good luck they say!) but with a contingency plan in place, I wasn’t stressed, and it ended up being a beautiful day as soon as we left the church.

Eat and hydrate! Definitely make sure you’re eating enough throughout the day. With us having a Catholic mass I knew I didn’t want to be hungry during our ceremony. My bridesmaids were great about making sure I had little snacks throughout the getting ready process so I didn’t feel too full, but also didn’t feel faint.

Congratulations Haley and Joey! Your classic winter wedding by Details Nashville was stunning! Huge thanks to you and our friends at Details Nashville for letting us share your day!
