After a morning spent getting ready with their family and friends, the two shared a sweet first look before heading to their outdoor wedding ceremony where they infused Michelle’s Vietnamese heritage with a traditional tea ceremony. From there they shared photos with their wedding party dressed in pinks and blues then headed to a their reception complete with a delicious dinner and loads of dancing! From the photographer, Jamie: Nate and Michelle celebrated their summer wedding at Green Door Gourmet. They had the perfect mixture of elegance and summer, with a jaw-dropping BHLDN dress and the simplicity of Green Door’s gardens. The ceremony was held in the late afternoon in a wide open field, with an indoor reception and dance party. The ceremony featured the Vietnamese traditional tea ceremony to honor Michelle’s heritage.
Tell us about your engagement!
Michelle: Nate proposed to me at the LA Jackson rooftop bar which is where we had our first date. With the help of my best friend and maid of honor, he rented out the space and decorated the outdoor patio with framed pictures of some our favorite memories together. He hired a photographer to capture the surprise and included a video message from both of our parents to congratulate us. Afterwards, he arranged for a bunch of our friends to celebrate with us.

Michelle: Casual elegance
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Michelle: Wedding highlight – the first look and our written vows to each other. Reception highlight – a group dance medley choreographed and performed by our friends. Our couples dance.
