Set against the stunning backdrop of Nashville, the Moorer wedding was a masterclass in refined elegance with a relaxed twist. The day began at the chic Thompson Hotel, where Jana stunned in her bridal portraits and shared an emotional first look with Nathan before heading to the iconic Scarritt Bennett to say “I do.” As fall foliage clung to the trees and golden light poured over the campus, the couple shared dreamy portraits that felt straight out of a movie. With a small, handpicked guest list, the celebration was intentionally intimate. The reception featured an elegant sit-down dinner with thoughtful details that reflected Jana’s eye for design and the couple’s shared love of meaningful moments. The vibe? Sophisticated, timeless, and full of heart. But just when guests thought the night couldn’t get any better, the newlyweds headed to L.A. Jackson for a rooftop dance party—and Post Malone unexpectedly dropped in. His heartfelt congratulations, photo op, and casual cool energy made this Nashville wedding one no one will ever forget. From chic black-tie attire and minimalist florals to personal touches and star-studded surprises, this celebration was the perfect blend of glamour and personality. Tell us about the couple.
From the photographer, Alaina: Jana + Nathan met at work! Nathan’s goofball approach to life was refreshing for Jana, and she eventually agreed to go on a date with him. The two compliment one another so unbelievably well. We laughed all through the engagement session photos and again all during the wedding day.
Tell us about the couple’s vision for their wedding.
Alaina: The Moorer’s wanted a relaxed yet elegant wedding day, and they achieved their goal beautifully. The small guest count made the day quite punctual, and the couple was able to be personable with everyone they invited. The smaller details like the tablescape at dinner and Jana’s wedding gown paid homage to the sophistication and importance of a wedding day, yet were balanced out by the “married AF” wedding cake and afterparty DJ. The day perfectly reflected the couple: equal parts glamorous and goofy.

What was their theme and what inspired it? What details were used to create the theme?
Alaina: The unspoken theme of the day was simple elegance; the florals, decorations, and attire all photographed luxuriously, all while also being both subtle and tasteful. Guests were adorned in all black ensembles at the request of the couple which added to the classic trend of the day. Jana’s flowers were an arrangement of whites and greens, and Nathan’s black tuxedo was timeless.
Can you share your favorite memory or any special moments from the day?
Alaina: My favorite memory of the day – and quite possibly my lifetime – was meeting pop star Post Malone at LA Jackson. He was kind and congratulatory towards Jana + Nathan, and even allowed us to take a photo with him. The wished the couple the best and went on his way – but it was not a moment I will ever forget. Jana and I alike were in shock, and the crowd of passersby were joining in on our awe.

Small wedding, BIG memories! Thanks so much to Jana, Nathan, and Alaina Abbott Photography for sharing!
