How did you guys meet?
Megan: We met in college through mutual friends!
Tell us about your engagement!
Megan: Our engagement was New Years Eve – Eve at Cheekwood Mansion in 2023! Even without all the beautiful foliage it was still stunning and so special!
What was the vision for your wedding?
Megan: I wanted a minimalist, timeless and elegant wedding.
What was your theme and what inspired it?
Megan: The venue actually inspired our theme. We wanted to have a very elegant but simple look. Emphasizing black and whites, golds, and a bit of greens in foliage.
What details were used to create your theme?
Megan: We kept small touches of greens, black and white, and neutrals! We wanted the focus to be on the guests, and the event rather than large decorations
Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?
Megan: We splurged on the venue because it was the most important part! I felt that a beautiful venue would need less decor added to still be impactful!
What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?
Megan: Have patience with one another, and with your guests! Try to enjoy the moment and do what makes the two of you happy over everything else!
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Megan: The entire day was magical and we will cherish the memories forever!
