Pantone 2023 Color of The Year Brought This Bold Sycamore Farms Wedding to Life

We’d like to think Kimberly and Zach predicted the future with their bold Sycamore Farms wedding. A year before the Pantone 2023 color of the year was introduced, the couple made their wedding pop with the shade Viva Magenta! From the floor length bridesmaids dresses and gorgeous floral arrangements to the linens and other accentuated decor, the vibrant pink made an appearance in the prettiest of ways. Navy blue was paired with the statement color for the rustic celebration, complete with other creative details such as a vinyl record seating chart named after country music artists and the coolest vintage getaway car. If you’ve ever wanted to spice up your celebration with a bit of a louder, yet completely elegant design take notes from these photos from Kéra Photography!

From the photographer:

Kimberly and Zach met in fourth grade when Kimberly transferred to Zach’s elementary school.  While they attended school and church together from fourth grade to twelfth grade, they didn’t spend a lot of time together.  But they did have one really close friend in common, Ben.  When they were 25, Ben got married, and they both went to the wedding.  Because Kimberly was a friend of the groom and didn’t know the bride well yet, she spent most of the weekend with the groomsmen.  As fate would have it, Zach was the best man, and after not seeing each other for seven years, they hit it off.  But Kimberly lived in California and Zach lived in Georgia at the time.  So, they stayed in touch and visited, but didn’t start dating until Kimberly moved back to Nashville where she had gone to law school, and eventually, they started dating.

Kimberly and Zach’s wedding celebration took place last September at Sycamore Farms in Franklin, TN., and although it sounds like a rustic wedding, the Simply Golden Events team transformed the space into an elegant and glimmering ball. And dare I say they were well ahead of their time, setting the stage for trending Pantone color of the year, Magenta.

The bold array of magenta florals by Echoes of Eden amongst the deep blue table linens set the stage for a whimsical night, pairing well with fairy lighting and uplighting amongst the drapery and otherworldly chandelier hanging in the middle of the room. The bride and groom also tied in their new Nashville roots into the design, adorning tables with vinyl and famous artists names instead of table numbers. This paired well with the vinyl styled seating chart just outside the reception ballroom.

This well-styled wedding is sure to inspire couples and wedding designers alike that dare to be bold and embrace the 2023 Pantone color of the year. If magenta is styled in this way, I hope it is a color that is here to stay, paving the way for other bold colors in the wedding industry.

Here’s to hoping for more weddings with the Pantone 2023 color of the year! Huge thank you to this amazing couple and Kéra Photography for sharing this bold Sycamore Farms wedding.
