Casey and Rusty got married on one of the most magical and tropical destination wedding spots, Jamaica! With the forecast, it brought possibilities of storms and it did just that but that’s okay because the team at Sandals and Linda with Honeymoons Inc. knew exactly how to handle it all! Casey and Rusty were stress-free with this team on their side for their Garden wedding theme! They even still ended up being able to have a surprise dance at the end of the night and their special photography session! Read more below to find out just what Amanda and Chad was able to capture during this beautiful day!

Ceremony and Reception ~ Sandals, South Coast Wedding Garden ~ Jamaica

What was the vision for your wedding?
Casey, the Bride: Enchanting Garden Theme
What was your theme and what inspired it?
Casey, the Bride: Garden Wedding

What details were used to create your theme?
Casey, the Bride: Green, White, Black and Gold, custom napkins and signage to include our dogs at home. I wanted gold flatware and black napkins so I rented from @celebrateweddingrentals and brought them to Jamaica with me. I had specific photos of the set up I wanted as well as my floral arrangements for ceremony and reception in the wedding notebooks for myself, Val and Linda
Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?
Casey, the Bride: We splurged on photography and video; we chose the husband and wife duo, @AmandaandChadphoto, who are simply the best! Upon Val’s advice with the weather forecasted on our wedding day, we splurged on a beautiful tent, extra twinkling lights in the garden. We surprised our guests with a fire dancer at the end of the night. The day after the wedding, we treated our family and guests to a catamaran snorkel cruise to relax – we upgraded to the over the water bungalows for our honeymoon and planned a trash the dress session with our photographers

What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?
Casey, the Bride: Be organized, work with a travel advisor that is experienced in the process of destination wedding and group room blocks, that makes themselves available to your guest. Linda traveled to Jamaica with our group and was just there to handle everything I didn’t even know I needed. She knew the resort, the management team, all the ins and outs and was there to answer any of our guest questions.

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Casey, the Bride: The thunderstorm did come at our original scheduled ceremony time, so everything got pushed back an hour, but my team communicated with the groom and I to keep us informed of what was going on, guest were kept comfortable in the club lounge until we were ready to start – Chad & Amanda knew which photos were so important for me to get on my wedding day, they thought outside the box and made it happen. Our guest had so much fun on the dance floor –
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding?
Casey, the Bride: We are so grateful to the entire wedding team at Sandals South Coast, to Val and Linda and to our friends and family who traveled with us to Jamaica to celebrate our special day.

Wow! How fun and exciting! My favorite part is the “trash the dress” photo session but a very close second was the fire dancer! That’s not something you hear about everyday! Special shout out to Amanda and Chad for sharing Casey and Rusty’s gallery with us along with Sandals and Honeymoon Inc. See more real weddings here!
