Tell us about Today & Forever and how long you’ve been in business!
Tierra: Hi Friends! Well Today & Forever is led by the fun, quirky, creative, professional, passionate and certified bridal consultant Tierra Robinson. My service is based off of my personality! I have a fun, but professional approach. Today & Forever provides a one stop shop wedding planning experience to couples who want to authentically display their love story on their wedding day. We offer a variety of services including wedding planning and coordination, off-the-rack wedding dresses, photography, and graphic design. We are Today’s key in your Forever and in September we will celebrate our first birthday!
How did you get started in weddings?
Tierra: Unofficially, since I was a little girl! I would gather my sister and cousins around my grandma’s computer and plan each of their weddings from top to bottom. Also, during the summer I’d go to Arkansas and help my Granny who is a wedding planner as well. Officially, my journey with weddings began two years ago when I began interning with renown wedding/event planners in Mississippi and Tennessee.
What’s the philosophy behind Today & Forever?
Tierra: I have six core values that I live by and they are also are the basis of Today & Forever.
Ambition- Dream big! I want you to achieve you wildest dream on your wedding day.
Recognition- This day is about you and I want your day to be sprinkled with personalized touches.
Poise- I carry myself with poise and make sure you have the right balance for your wedding day.
Commitment- I am 110% committed to whatever/whoever I’m involved with and the same goes for you and your big day.
Love- It’s the greatest command and I am a sucker for a good love story and I can’t wait to hear yours.
Generosity- I am a giver by nature and I’m kind. This a stressful/exciting time and I’m ready to give a helping hand.
What are your strengths compared to other wedding planners?
Tierra: Today & Forever stands out from other planners because it’s a one stop shop! I am passionate about the wedding industry as a whole, so it was difficult for me to decide one niche in the industry. I am a woman of many trades and have a broad skill-set, quite honestly I felt like it was selfish of me to hold back from my couples other things that I can do. So we offer a variety of services: planning/coordination, off-the-rack wedding dresses, photography, and graphic design. I’m so excited to be able to help couples who may need help in all the above.
What attracts couples to work with Today & Forever?
Tierra: Today & Forever couples are unconventional, vintage lovers, elopers, non-traditional, thrifty, and budget-conscious. My couples don’t have to fit into a box, I help couples display THEIR unique love story on their wedding day. No matter how grand or intimate of a day you want I want your wedding to stay to true to you and I think that’s what attracts couples to me. We have that personalized touch that will keep you and your wedding guests reminiscing for years to come.
What is the most innovative new trend in wedding planning today?
Tierra: Hands down the most innovative thing about Today & Forever is my pop-up shops of off-the-rack wedding gowns. Saying yes to the dress should be an exciting time for brides, but for most it can be a stressful. Ordering a dress can take anywhere from 4-12 months depending on the designer *insert freaking out gif here*, you may not have a ton of money sitting around, or shopping and trying on ten or more dresses may not be your thing. That’s my why I’m glad to provide brides who may be a little more on the thrifty side or don’t want all hassle that “say yes to dress” experience without breaking the bank. My dresses are traditional, unconventional, elaborate, simple, but best of all affordable. You can try on dresses at expos, your home, or soon on select days at Collective 615!
Is there anything else you’d like to share about Today & Forever?
Tierra: I’m so excited that the good Lord saw fit for me to “walk on the water” in the wedding industry. As a former TV reporter I love to hear and share others stories because we all have one. I can’t wait to learn more couples’ story. This day is about you, both the bride and groom and just like there isn’t a story that’s the same, no wedding should be either. That’s the Today & Forever way.
