Tell us about Destination Life Photography + how long you’ve been in business.
Nicole: I have been professional photographing weddings for 15 years. I have been and admire of love since the first time I watched The Little Mermaid. As I grew, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy stole my heart. Art was always a part of me and after a trip to Europe in my mid-teens, I knew a career consistently creating was for me. I see each wedding as a love story for which I am creating the art.
How did you get started in weddings?
Nicole: I went to college for photography and had a friend ask me to photograph their wedding while I was in school. That was all it took, I was hooked. Weddings are full of excited energy, love, and fun. All of my favorite things.
What’s the philosophy behind Destination Life Photography?
Nicole: I see photographing weddings as a visual storytelling. A culmination of the couples past, present and a send off to the future. My clients want to savor that feeling. To celebrate their triumphs together and revel in their love for one another. I want to be a breath for my clients, to bring them peace and help them embrace the joy of their one and only wedding day.
What are your strengths compared to others in your category?
Nicole: I have many years of experience in all types of professional photography, editorial, set photography, underwater photography, and of course wedding photography to name a few. I have worked alongside individuals from all over the world, from all walks of life. I will help my clients feel comfortable and provide them with genuine, heart-felt, timeless images.
What attracts couples to Destination Life Photography?
Nicole: I am so humbled to always have the most fantastic couples. They all have beautiful souls and an unwavering love for each other and those closest to them. They often love to explore and find beauty in the world around them. I believe they are drawn to the authentic nature of my work and the ability to relive each moment through their photographs.
What is the most innovative new product, service, style or other aspect of your industry that brides and grooms might appreciate?
Nicole: Weddings days are fast paced. They require a photographer that is seasoned and ready for each special moment, so all details are saved for future generations. Each portion of the day takes a little bit different style of photography. I provide documentary, candid, editorial, landscape, modern and classic images. They are true to color and will bring back to vision your wedding day.
