Tell us about your company + how long you’ve been in business:
Britt: I am a multi-published and award winning luxury boudoir and wedding portrait photographer located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Cody and I are a duo couple that has been focusing on couples and their love stories since 2015. I focus on creating the artistic lead for each one of our couples and he is my top second and day of video creator. I started my luxury boudoir brand in 2018 that offers a personalized experienced for each bride.
How did you get started in weddings?
Britt: A lifelong friend reached out to me in spring of 2015 and asked if I could photograph her wedding. I was hesitant but she trusted me enough to take a chance at creating some beautiful images of her big day and the passion for weddings grew from there.
What’s the philosophy behind your company?
Britt: Creating images and an experience that last not just for the day, but last for a lifetime to tell the story of two lives that came together for an eternity.
What are your strengths compared to others in your category?
Britt: My signature style combines everything I know about light, color, shadows, and the composition with my ability to work in minimal lighting situations and create new light sources as many venues and locations don’t always have the greatest access to natural light.
What attracts couples to your business?
Britt: The ability to create a mood for each individual couple that fits their aesthetic and style of their wedding day. My couples are fun, modern in style, and detail oriented. They want those creative shots, personal details, and real feel during their wedding day.
What is the most innovative new product, service, style or other aspect of your industry that brides and grooms might appreciate?
Britt: All of my Britt Marie Brides are gifted a complimentary bridal boudoir experience. Brides love getting pampered and hyped up for the day. They receive hair and makeup while getting to browse through my signature client closet that is filled with lingerie of all colors and sizes that is complete with veils if they choose not to bring their own. Many of my brides choose to gift their groom with a luxe album on the big day and the grooms are all in agreement that it is one of the best gifts they could ever receive.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your company?
Britt: As a luxury brand, I offer my couples luxury prints and product services to ensure their portraits are displayed and not just preserved in their phones.
