What is a lab grown diamond?
I will tell you the truth, I am new to learning all about lab created diamonds and the benefits they have on the environment! And let me tell you, Clean Origin is amazing at educating their brides and grooms on their diamonds before they purchase. From what I understand, lab grown diamonds are becoming more and more popular. Awareness regarding the dangers of mined diamonds is becoming more prevalent. Brides and grooms are taking a stand against the dangerous conditions and the harm it causes to workers and the environment.
A lab grown diamond is actually engineered and grown in a lab. The way it’s grown is the same as it would in a mine, only in a different (and much safer) environment. Is it cubic zirconia? No. The cool part is that this lab diamond is in fact a real diamond! It’s not fake and all the chemical properties of a mined diamond are the same as a lab created diamond.
To give this new wave of diamonds even more authenticity, they are graded on the same scale as mined diamonds. And if you’ve been doing your research on ring shopping, you’ll know diamond value is all based on the 4 C’s – cut, clarity, color and carat.
Some may think that a lab created diamond is a cheap diamond. This is false, as we said earlier, the chemical makeup is the same. However, since these diamonds are created in a lab, they are in fact 20-40% more affordable than a mined diamond. This is great news!
