In a wedding world where bright colors are trending, Katie & Garrison decided to make their barn wedding pop with classic neutral wedding colors. Their choice in aesthetic is one that is timeless and beautiful. With Beau Chavel to set the scene, they tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony with nature’s greenery amongst them accented with an arch filled with greens and ivory blooms along with glass vases of pampas leaves lining the aisle. The calm vibe was carried into their indoor reception where eucalyptus leaves lined wooden family style tables with gold charger plates and candelabras. Additionally a gold stand displayed a variety of cupcakes with a gold speckled wedding cake complete with leafy green decor sitting nearby. Tell us about your engagement!
Katie: We got engaged at a cabin we’ve gone to each year that we’ve been together. He lined the hill with roses and was waiting at the bottom to propose.
What was the vision for your wedding?
Katie: White, greenery, modern, with gold touches
What was your theme and what inspired it?
Katie: Our wedding was located in an old house with a white barn attached, but we modernized it with the decor and aimed for an airy, outdoor feel.
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Katie: We shared private vows before the ceremony but didn’t see each other until the aisle. I thought he’d be the one to cry, but I teared up like crazy! One of my other favorite memories was when he was dancing like crazy and I was sitting, enjoying multiple delicious cupcakes.
What are some tips you can share with other brides planning their weddings?
Katie: I would definitely advise spacing things out so your don’t get overwhelmed. Ask for and accept help. Invest in your dress, baker/ caterers, and photographers, because they all made such a huge difference!
