With her May wedding on the horizon, Casey’s best friend Haley threw her the ultimate bachelorette party at AR Workshop Mt. Juliet. The two of them along with Casey’s bridesmaids each designed a piece of decor that would be placed in the soonlyweds new home. Close friends creating decor and memories…is there really anything better? Learn more about everything they did during this celebratory occasion in the interview with Haley below!
Tell us about the vision for the party.
Haley of AR Workshop Mt. Juliet: I hosted my best friend, Casey’s, bridal shower at AR Workshop Mt. Juliet! She is getting married in May and just purchased a new house with her fiance, Alex. They both had items to bring to their new home, but I wanted to make sure they decor that was both of theirs – especially with her having a new last name!
What was the theme and what inspired it (e.g. farm, garden party, contemporary, modern, vintage etc.):?
Haley: Functional, sentimental and family were the themes of the projects we went with! She wanted decor in her bedroom to remind her of their vows, a functional shelf to hang items when they walked in the door, a porch sign to welcome guests and a dog bed for her sweet pup!
What details were used to create the theme (color scheme, decor items, florals etc.)?
Haley: Casey is very modern and simple. She loves neutral colors so we did a lot of basic colors – black, white, creams, grey and stains!
Tell us about the crafts the guests made!
Haley: We kept the workshop small with the bride herself and her bridesmaids! Each bridesmaid got to make a project – 2 frame signs, a shelf, porch sign and dog bed!
Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?
Haley: We are all anticipating the wedding of Casey and Alex. We are of course all super busy so this get together at the workshop was the first time she had all her bridesmaids together to talk wedding! It was fun to have a small group of her closest people to discuss things we needed to do to get ready for the big day and just enjoy creating things for her wedding!
Were there any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome (ie rain, etc)?
Haley: While it was freezing outside, that really didn’t matter thanks to the workshop space! AR Workshop Mt. Juliet is a great place to host an event of any size and not have to worry about the weather or any other crazy challenges that can be so unpredictable!
