Megan + Trent's Romantic Germantown Engagement Session by SheHeWe Photography

After all the rain we've had lately, Spring has sprung, everything is green + the flowers are out in bloom! And this is also why I'm so excited to bring you Megan + Trent's engagement session today! Not only did the couple pose among gorgeous flowering bushes, but Megan wore a floral maxi dress which was perfect with the theme! I'm all about an outdoor engagement shoot + Jim and Ilde of SheHeWe Photography nailed it by setting the scene in the couple's Germantown neighborhood. Plus, Megan + Trent got engaged at Bicentennial Park which makes the session even more special! Plus, Megan + Trent invited their cute little dog into the shoot as well – let's all say it together now: AWWWW! Read below to hear Megan's take on wedding planning, their engagement and working with SheHeWe Photography!

How did you get engaged?  Tell us about your proposal!

Megan: After 7 years of dating, Trent, finally popped the big question! It started off as a normal Saturday in Germantown; we walked over to the farmers market for a bite to eat and then back through Bicentennial Park for a nice little stroll with our sweet little dog, Vita. It was an absolutely GORGEOUS spring day in Nashville, so Trent decided that we sit for a bit in the park to soak up some sun. He whipped a blanket out of his backpack which was a bit surprising, but none-the-less, I was super excited he was well prepared for our relaxing day in the park. Moments later, he gifted me with the most beautiful engagement ring and asked me to be his wife!!

How has it been managing your wedding budget + what vendors have you hired so far?

Megan: Our wedding budget had a bit of flexibility, but with our venue being 'all inclusive', it helped us stay on track. We made sure to make a list of what was most important to us on our wedding day and we were willing to allocate more of our wedding funds towards the stuff at the top of that list. We've hired Mint Springs Farm, SheHeWeLocks by Leslie, The Downtown Band, The Chef and I, Aperitif Events & Cocktails.

What’s your wedding style?

Megan: Our wedding style is rustic elegance & our wedding colors consist of burgundy, dusty rose & gold (colors similar to what you see in my dress for our engagement shoot).

What have you most enjoyed about being engaged?

Megan: It has been great to call Trent my fiance 🙂 Also, I find it super fun planning my wedding. I am ALL about the details and I am super type A – so wedding planning is totally up my alley!!

Tell us about your engagement session. Where did it take place + what was the significance?

Megan: Our engagement session took place all over Germantown! Germantown will always hold a special place in our hearts as we lived there for about 4 years! We also stopped by Bicentennial Park for some photos which was where Trent proposed. 🙂

What was it like working with your photographer?

Megan: Jim & Ilde of SheHeWe Photography are honestly such amazing people and made us feel SUPER comfortable from the first time we met them (mainly the reason why we chose them)! It can be a bit scary to get in front of a camera with out knowing what in the heck you are doing, but Jim & Ilde had us cracking up and enjoying every minute of it!

Is there anything else you'd like to share with NBG readers?

Megan: Enjoy every single minute of your engagement — it truly does fly by!!

Thank you so much for sharing your engagement session with us Megan + Trent! And to SheHeWe for the beautiful photos! You can check out more of SheHeWe's work here on their website and here on their Instagram page. 🙂
