Love and Lace Inspiration Shoot at Ravenswood Mansion by Jannah Alexander Photography | Nashville

Love, lace and the rolling hills of Tennessee compliment each other so well! And thus the inspiration for this blush wedding styled shoot by Jannah Alexander Photography came into fruition. Jannah’s vision included Southern elements like traditional calligraphy, a plantation venue and gorgeous lace details throughout. The table scape is definitely one to remember with a gorgeous blush draped table runner and farmhouse details that were oh so dainty with the southern theme. See more of the shoot below along with some comments from Jannah about the day!

What was the inspiration for the shoot?

Jannah: A few months ago I fell in love with the rolling hills, rich greens, and perfect sunsets that Tennessee has to offer. I had just moved to the area, was in the middle of a rebrand for my wedding photography business, and was looking to network with other professionals in the industry. So I decided to host my own styled shoot! I want to celebrate all of the beautiful things my new home had to offer while helping other businesses in the area utilize their talents as well. The end result is everything I could have dreamed and more!

My real life couple, were about to celebrate their first anniversary as husband and wife the same week as our inspiration shoot! They were all smiles the whole time which really made the whole experience more of a glorified anniversary session rather than a posed styled shoot with models. The sweet colors from the day – blush, green, and ivory – exemplified a gorgeous color palette that many other brides can connect with.

Describe some of the details that were used in the shoot!

Jannah: The vision that I saw had lots of greenery, white, and blush details. It had a whimsical feel, but was still extremely elegant. This bouquet just makes you feel happy! The macaroon cake that Triple Crown Bakery designed was unlike anything I had seen before! It features tiers and tiers of the sweetest little blush macaroons with little sugar flowers displayed throughout! This cake was one of my favorite design features of the shoot. As per the title of this shoot, “Love & Lace,” I had to have a lace dress so the whole theme would unite eloquently. This lace gown was the perfect feature to tie in all of the other details! I still get butterflies when I think about how beautiful the table scape came together. The rolling Tennessee hills in the background with our farmhouse table with blush designs in the foreground was a picture of a dream I had spent months creating, finally coming to fruition. Elegance, blush, rustic, and mountain views are the best adjectives I have to describe that beautiful scene!
