The right kind of wedding entertainment can transform a great reception into an incredible party. In Middle Tennessee, one company is driving a unique wave of nostalgic fun straight to celebrations: InstaBurst Photos.
In a recent episode of the show, we sat down with husband-and-wife duo Adam and Heather Knauf, the creative force behind this fast-growing, local business. They shared the sparking origin story—which began with their own wedding—and revealed how their vintage fleet and passion for connection are creating magic at events across the region.

Meet the Stars: Georgia the Camper & Jasper the VW Bus
InstaBurst Photos is far from your standard, tucked-in-a-corner photo booth. Heather’s initial wedding dream quickly evolved into something much grander and more charming.
- Georgia the Camper: The original star, Georgia, is a pink and white Shasta camper—a gorgeous slice of feminine, retro charm. She’s perfect for couples wanting a whimsical, vintage look.
- Jasper the VW Bus: When demand started to surge, the Knaufs expanded with Jasper, a stunning vintage VW bus photo booth. Jasper, who even survived a minor fire on his first drive home, is an instant nostalgia-getter, bringing that iconic ’70s vibe to any festival or wedding.
As Adam and Heather shared, these custom-designed mobile photo booths aren’t just for taking pictures; they’re immersive experiences that start the moment they roll up. People wave, honk, and instantly recognize the unique, nostalgic appeal.

Why a Photo Booth is a Must
For engaged couples planning their big day, the question often arises: is a photo booth truly necessary? The Knoffs firmly believe yes, and here’s why their unique offering is a massive hit:
1. Instant Guest Keepsakes (Beyond the Digital)
While disposable cameras are a fun trend, a high-quality printout photo booth strip is instant gratification and a tangible wedding favor guests will actually keep.
“You’re gonna get that printout… you don’t have that keepsake to take with you [with disposable cameras], which again, is kind of the biggest thing, what we like and what we do.” – Adam Knauf
Guests love the instant gratification of a printout—it’s a physical memento you don’t have to scroll months through your phone to find!
2. High-Quality, Flattering Photos
Forget dimly lit, awkward photo booth shots. Adam and Heather take pride in their technical setup. They ensure flattering lighting and perfect angles, telling host Alyssa DiCicco, “You’re pretty good here like the got the ring light going and it’s just like the angles are all right… you guys know how to set it up and make people look good on your camera.” Their expertise ensures everyone looks their best!
3. A Personal, Guided Experience
Unlike drop-off photo booths, the InstaBurst team stays on-site, manning the booth the whole time, assisting guests, managing the endless supply of props (including over 500 individual pieces!), and encouraging the fun.
They also work closely with DJs and wedding coordinators to ensure the booth is visible and that announcements are made, maximizing guest usage.
4. Introducing the Audio Guest Book
To add another layer of vintage charm, InstaBurst Photos offers an audio guest book. Using a vintage rotary phone (available in black, robin’s egg blue, and sunshine yellow), guests can leave vocal messages for the couple.
This is a cherished keepsake, especially since a person’s voice is often the first memory to fade. The Knaufs even clean up the audio files and label the messages for the couple.

Dolly Parton’s Vibe and Your Wedding Day
When asked which celebrity they’d love to see hop into one of their unique booths, the answer was unanimous and quintessentially Nashville: Dolly Parton!
“Dolly, absolutely. 100% hands down, Dolly Parton… I feel like she would love Georgia so much. Like, I just feel like that would be her vibe.” – Heather Knauf
It’s a perfect match—Dolly’s fun-loving, colorful personality aligns perfectly with the vintage charm of the pink Shasta camper. Imagine the iconic photos!
If you’re a couple in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area looking for unique, unforgettable entertainment that brings a “fun surprise element” to your wedding, InstaBurst Photos is the perfect choice.
