Leslie + Kyle’s engagement photos are giving me all the holiday vibes! The couple loved and laughed their way through their downtown Nashville engagement session with Nashville engagement photographer, SheHeWe Photography. From the Parthenon to Broadway and finally to the Pedestrian Bridge, they captured so many fun shots in their city! It was all with a dash of lighthearted fun and games ensued by SheHeWe – you know you’ll have a blast and laugh a ton with Jim + Ilde! Keep reading to get bride Leslie’s take on their shoot and hear their engagement story!
How did you get engaged? Tell us about your proposal story!
Leslie: In November 2017, me, Kyle, and our friends Kaley and Zach were all supposed to go to dinner downtown. While we were on our way to dinner, Kaley called and said they were running a little late, so Kyle suggested he and I check out Love Circle, a famous Nashville spot with a stunning view of downtown. When we got out of the car and up to the top of the hill, Kyle confessed that we weren’t meeting our friends for dinner. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes!
Who did you hire for your wedding team?
Leslie: We used SheHeWe Photography, Enchanted Florist, The Corwin Trio, The Downtown Band, and had our ceremony and reception at The Bell Tower – using all of Infinity Hospitality’s catering, set up, and lighting – and their event planner Brittany O. who was AMAZING!
What was your wedding style?
Leslie: We chose neutrals for the table linens, but had some gold sequin fabric as our backdrop and on our cake table. Our flowers were all greenery, and we had candles everywhere we could. We wanted casual, but elegant.
What have you most enjoyed about being engaged?
Leslie: Now that we are actually married, looking back I can say that our engagement was fun and exciting! We loved the wedding planning process (mainly because all of the vendors were chose were AWESOME), and we were basically on cloud 9 for the entire 10 months leading up to the big day!
Tell us about your engagement session. Where did it take place?
Leslie: We used SheHeWe Photography, and went to various places around the downtown. We got all dressed up, and had the best time walking around and posing at some of our favorite spots!
What’s the significance of the locations?
Leslie: We did take photos in front of Bakersfield Bar, which is where we met 🙂 But all the other locations were at the suggestion of Ilde and Jim.
What was it like working with your photographer?
Leslie: Ilde and Jim were AMAZING! They made taking photos (which normally can feel awkward) super fun and stress-free! They play off each other so well, and Kyle and I were thrilled with the session and our results!
What did you like most about the session?
Leslie: Ilde and Jim were joking around with us the whole time, so the photos where Kyle and I are laughing are completely genuine. We absolutely loved working with them on our engagement session and on our wedding day, too!
