Get ready to feel giddy! Because Jordan and Andrew’s windy downtown Nashville engagement session is full of the most joyous moments. The couple was ecstatic to have won a session from Nashville wedding photographer, Nicole Lenia Kiser Imagery. Together they decided to hit the streets of the city and posed in front of some iconic spots along the way. Not only did Jordan and Andrew look effortlessly beautiful, but the exchange of laughter, hugs, and kisses really made their images stand out. Even if there was a little breeze, the character and charism in this e-sesh is truly one for the books!
Tell us about the proposal.
Nicole, the photographer: Jordan & Andrew got engaged while on a trip with their friends visiting Mexico! It was so beautiful as he proposed close to the ocean and then were able to celebrate with all of their close people.
Tell us about the engagement session. Where did it take place?
Nicole: Jordan & Andrew actually won my giveaway I ran for the first time ever to celebrate Valentine’s Day! We connected when she entered in, as it was perfect timing for them just getting engaged in Mexico. When I told her she won she was so excited and immediately emailed me back with a moodboard of downtown inspiration. I love photographing engagement sessions in downtown Nashville, so I took them to some of my favorite city streets and hidden alleys. We started at The War Memorial downtown as she wanted a really classy vibe for her photos. I knew they would look amazing against the historic columns and limestone that location features. Then we went to other locations like The Hermitage Hotel, outside of The Noelle, and down Union Street! They had not yet been to Printer’s Alley and so I showed them the lights and the signs there and it was so stunning. They looked beautiful together beneath the string lights and the brick walls.
What’s the significance of the locations?
Nicole: They are city people and actually just moved to Nashville a few months ago! They are getting married out of state, so they wanted to have photographs downtown at spots and streets they frequent together! It was really cool checking out locations that were on their list, but they hadn’t made it to quite yet for their engagement session.
What did you like most about the session?
Nicole: I love how easy going and natural the imagery feels. I feel like some of the images of course are more directed. But other images could have been taken by someone, a bystander, also on the street simply observing them on a date. I loved their outfit choices for going downtown and how open they were to trying anything and everything for their engagement session.
