Guests ~ 220
Budget ~ $50,000 – $60,000

How did you guys meet?
Caroline: We met at Underground on Broadway!
Tell us about your engagement!
Caroline: We got engaged in February. I thought we were just going out to dinner at Emmy Squared (one of our favorite Nashville dinner spots) and where we had our first date. When we got to the restaurant the bench that we sat on was filled with flowers and a will you marry me sign. We then went to Embers in 12 South for a drink and all of our friends and family were there to surprise us!
What was the vision for your wedding?
Caroline: I always wanted a summer wedding. I ideally wanted one large open room with long farm tables and summery/whimsical flowers. Our biggest priority was having a huge dance floor and an amazing live band.

What was your theme and what inspired it?
Caroline: Our general theme was a vibrant and lively Nashville summer bash. We wanted an open floor plan with a FUN lively band and lots of dancing. We had to incorporate cowboy hats for all of our guests my
What details were used to create your theme?
Caroline: Bailey through Imogen Floral & Design helped bring our vision to life. I told her I wanted warm and summery tones so we created a peachy toned color pallet to complement our sage green bridesmaids dresses. Please Be Seated rentals helped create our table looks with light pink plates, ivory napkins and amber colored glasses with gold silverware.
Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?
Caroline: Our splurge was our wedding band and of course the venue. The Music City Sound was so incredible – I can’t tell you how many people told us it was the best wedding band they’ve ever seen. 14TENN is one of the only venues in Nashville with a big open floor plan and blank canvas to bring your vision to life. We also splurged on photo and video – Moody Mountains Photography and Megan Rae Films are incredible. They’re actually best friends and knew they would capture our day perfectly! We saved with keeping our florals very simplistic and dainty. Bailey put together the most beautiful bud vases with statement flowers to fill the long tables with beautiful colored taper candles to add warmth. We saved by not having large floral creations (arches etc) and using candles to help fill the space. We created all of our signage through Minted and framed it ourselves with Amazon frames.

What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?
Caroline: You set the tone for your wedding…If you want guests dancing, then you need to be on the dance floor! Your guests will follow your lead so create the environment you want it to be!
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Caroline: The dance floor and wedding band were by far our favorite highlight. We had a guest count of about 220 people and every single person was dancing. “Sweet Caroline “ was probably the best song since that’s my name and a crowd favorite. Our guests lifted us in the air for this which was a blast and certainly the highlight of the night. Lastly, we had our guests gather around us on the dance floor for our final song which was Can’t Take my Eyes off of you” by Frankie Valli
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding?
Caroline: All of our vendors were beyond amazing! Sarah Hodges and the 14TENN team did the most incredible job pulling this together for us and bringing our Nashville Summer wedding bash to life.
