A team of local creatives put their talents together to showcase versatile designs in a rustic setting at Farm Bureau Exposition Center. Not only does each element bring about its own charm, but also showcases how you can have a cohesive style even if you decide to combine different themes. With My Joyful Event‘s eye for design, she was able to show exactly how it’s possible to have a modern, yet rustic event — making way for couples to dream up a look of their own. Tell us about the shoot vision.
Sara of Farm Bureau Exposition Center: This collaborative event was designed to tell the story of our facility. Farm Bureau Exposition Center is much more than the home to many high-profile trade shows. We wanted to capture the beauty and flexibility of the South Hall event space and outdoor courtyard. South Hall is the premier bridal destination for couples who are looking for open, modern design and ultimate flexibility. 7,000-square-feet of carpeted formal ballroom offers versatility with two additional multi-purpose rooms that can divide into four private meeting spaces. The shoot featured an outdoor wedding ceremony, facing the Fiddler’s Grove Historic Village, paired with a rustic indoor reception. The shoot also captured the limitless opportunities offered by South Hall, where My Joyful Event designed a third, stunning event in the formal ballroom.
What was the theme and what inspired it (e.g. farm, garden party, contemporary, modern, vintage etc.):?
Sara: Nestled in the signature rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, our 79,000-square-foot facility is a landmark — a modern expression of Wilson County’s southern charm and character. My Joyful Event captured the aesthetic of the facility and curated a beautiful, rustic ambiance.
What details were used to create the theme (color scheme, decor items, florals etc.)?
Sara: Each harvest season, along the main entrance of the facility, guests are greeted by hundreds of sunflowers. Under the direction of Miss Joy of My Joyful Event, Alexandria, of AlDecorate, created beautiful sunflower centerpieces that resonated with the facility’s long-held tradition. My Joyful Event’s expert coordination and eye for design transformed South Hall and the facility concourse hallway into a stunning reception ambiance.
