I love it when tradition meets the modern age. And that’s what Rachel + Santiago’s wedding was – to a T! This modern couple spun some records while getting ready (and Santiago even gifted Rachel a special Ryan Adams vinyl!) and even ordered up ALL vegan food for their guests! (Plus, I could not get over the resemblance… Santiago = Johnny Depp, right?). The festivities all took place inside the gorgeous and historic Hermitage Hotel right in downtown Nashville. The couple’s day started with a traditional religious ceremony and ended with fun on the dance floor. Read more about their day from their photographer BellaLu below!

From the photographer, BellaLu Photography: Rachel & Santiago briefly met many years ago while they both lived in Birmingham, AL. They never got the chance to get to know one another, but were always intrigued with each other. They both moved away from Birmingham, but remained Facebook friends through their 7 years apart. Years later, Santiago reached out via Facebook and the two began chatting. Within weeks Santiago made his trip to visit Rachel in Nashville, and a week later Rachel reciprocated by visiting Santiago in Chicago. It wasn’t long (maybe a month!) before Santiago decided to relocate to Nashville to be with Rachel. The rest, as they say, is history! They dated for about 3.5 years and got married in Nashville on November 18, 2017. The Hermitage Hotel served as their beautiful venue, and catered their VEGAN meal, along with their vegan cake and cupcakes. It was delicious! Their wedding day was truly a reflection of the two of them as a couple and as individuals. It was an absolutely perfect day!
