Robot: Sonido Moreno (family-owned business in KY)
Megan and Richard have dreamt up this day for so long that the small my minutiae details weren’t a huge concern. However, the small details turned into big memories for their wedding day as Megan and Richard incorporated many of their close friends and family members to be involved with the day! Megan’s friend, Hope, helped to coordinate. She actually did many of the decor and florals herself as well. They also had a small intimate ceremony at a private residence but then invited other family and friends to celebrate at their reception at The Franklin Bridge Golf Club! They even had another source of entertainment rather than a DJ; giant dancing neon strobe light robots! How fun! See more below with the help of photography Alyssa Michelle Photography!

Ceremony ~ Private Family Residence
Reception ~Franklin Bridge Golf Club
Megan and Richard had a beautiful intimate ceremony on private property. The most touching part of the day was when they FaceTimed the groom’s family in Mexico, who could not make it to the US for the wedding.
The reception was full of fun at a dreamy golf course during golden hour! The bride and groom went face first into their wedding cake as the guests cheered them on. After dinner, everyone danced the night away during a full party complete with foam glow sticks and a surprise dancing robot!
Tell us about the couple:
Photographer, Alyssa: Although Megan and Richard appear to be laid back, they LOVE to have fun. They enjoy cooking, creating new things together, and cuddling up to watch movies. The couple met in 8th grade when they were sat next to each other during class, and they have been together ever since. They’ve had the privilege of watching each other growing as individuals and as a couple.
Their proposal story sounds like it came out of a love movie. They were visiting his family in Mexico and went to explore an underground cave. Ankle deep in water and surrounded by fish, Richard got down on one knee. Megan had a suspicious they would get engaged soon, but the moment itself was a beautiful surprise!
Tell us about the couple’s vision for their wedding:
Photographer, Alyssa: They really wanted to embrace the fall colors. The ceremony was the most important part of the day to them, so they wanted to keep it intimate with only those who are closest to them. For the reception, they wanted to pull out some fun surprises, drink with their friends, and party the night away.
They heavily focus on making the day enjoyable and stress free!
What was their theme and what inspired it? What details were used to create the theme?
Photographer, Alyssa: Megan and Richard wanted to incorporate natural elements of fall. They had a lot of tasteful DIY decor, little pumpkins, and a beautiful charcuterie board. Their colors were sage green and burnt orange.
Can you share your favorite memory or any special moments from the day?
Photographer, Alyssa:
1. When the bride and groom got on FaceTime with Richard’s family in Mexico immediately following the ceremony
2. When the guests started chanting in Spanish, and the bride and groom dove face first into the cake for a big bite
3. The golden hour portraits
4. The surprise dancing robot with neon lights
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Photographer, Alyssa: Megan and Richard ordered a stunning heirloom album to commemorate moments of their day. They wanted something they could show off to their children and grandchildren one day, and the album was the perfect touch!
Bubbles and Robots, what more could you ask for! Congratulations to Megan and Richard on your recent wedding and thank you Alyssa Michelle for the images!
