High school sweethearts Kellie and Dakota threw the ultimate celebration as they entered the next chapter of their love story. Their rustic and romantic Grace Valley Farm wedding is one that’s filled with homespun details, lots of emotion, and an abundance of charm. Although they may have had to downsize the guest list, their day was still as dreamy as could be. It really was the perfect Southern soiree! Tell us about your engagement!
Kellie: Our engagement was very special. My now husband had planned a couples shoot scheduled for his birthday with Chelsea Watkins. Chelsea styled my hair And make up and then we drove out to the Cedars of Lebanon State Park. We took multiple photos there and then decided to go to a Cotton field in Murfreesboro Tennessee . We took photos there And then he asked me to marry him. It is truly a day I will never forget
What was the vision for your wedding?
Kellie: I wanted simplicity with a southern hint. Lots of white linens with gold candles and greenery.
What was your theme and what inspired it?
Kellie: The theme I was going for was lots of white and greenery! Simplicity is beautiful!
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Kellie: Before walking down the aisle I shared a special message to my Groom that played over the intercom. Once the message was done, the doors opened and I walked down the aisle ! I did a first look with my dad and at the reception I changed into my mom’s wedding dress of almost 40 years and danced with my dad.
What are some tips you can share with other brides planning their weddings?
Kellie: The day went by so fast! Slow down and remember that this is your special day and just relax.
