Romantic Country Club Soiree by Juniper Weddings

A delicate palette of blush, taupe, and sprinkles of greenery made this romantic country club soiree come to life! At first glance of their wedding day, you would never know that Katie and Ben got married during a pandemic because everything looks THAT perfect. But that’s because every detail down to the face masks was well-thought out and planned. Of course there was a thing or two that required some transitioning ahead of time, but they surely knew how to throw one heck of an intimate party with their closest friends and family. And thanks to Juniper Weddings we get to experience the emotion of it all!

Gaylord Springs Golf Links ~ Nashville, TN

From the photographer, Cheyenne: This was our first wedding back from the covid break and it was simple but still so much fun! The bride and groom had already planned a small, intimate wedding with their family (before covid was even a thing). Their neutral color dresses and suits made the beautiful pink flowers pop! Every detail was carefully selected and personalized (including the face masks!). What we loved most about this wedding was it wasn’t the typical TN barn wedding we are all use to. This was at a ritzy country club and the staircase was to die for!

Tell us about the couple.

Stephanie (Mother of the Bride): Katie and Ben are both from Muscle Shoals, however did not know one another while growing up. Katie was friends with Ben’s brother and one night got together at their home with a group of friends. Katie and Ben ended up playing guitar on the back porch, and this was the beginning of their story.

Tell us about the couple’s vision.

Stephanie: The couple chose the location for their love of Nashville and music. From the start, they wanted the ceremony to be small and simple, yet elegant. After COVID came around, the wedding had already been planned with a small number of guests, which included immediate family and close friends. So, the number did not have to be changed, only the venue. From the rehearsal dinner, events leading up to the ceremony, the ceremony itself and reception … everything was perfect!

What details were used to create their theme?

Stephanie: They wanted something simple and intimate, yet elegant. The color scheme was neutral with a hint of blush and greenery. Their florist decorated the wooden arbor beautifully, along with floral details on the end of each row of chairs. Their outdoor ceremony was sweet and elegant, which was exactly what they hoped for. The reception took place upstairs in the clubhouse. It began with a celebratory toast and several delicious appetizers, followed by first dances, the cutting of the cake, and lots of fun in the photo booth and on the dance floor. The bride and groom were sent off with bubbles and streamers and surprised with a vintage getaway car.

Can you share any special moments or highlights of their wedding day?

Stephanie: One highlight from their wedding day was being completely surprised with a 1963 Rolls-Royce to ride away in together after their sendoff. They said the time in the car was special because it was their first moment to just sit and relax alone as a married couple after a busy, but wonderful day with family and friends.

Did they have any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome?

Stephanie: Originally, the ceremony was scheduled for Gaylord´s Opryland Hotel in the Delta Pavillion. When it was realized that the hotel would not be opening before the wedding date, the staff at Gaylord contacted Kate & Ben with a plan B. It ended up being the perfect venue! Everything was beautiful, and Gaylord was absolutely wonderful to team with!
