Nashville New Years Eve Wedding at Travellers Rest | Nashville

I’m not going to lie, I’ve been wanting to attend a Nashville New Years Eve wedding for quite some time now. I feel like there’s no better way to ring in the new year than celebrating at a wedding as the clock strikes midnight! Christina + Derek did just that during their wedding at Travellers Rest. Although it poured rain on their wedding day, they were not afraid to get out and about to take photos outdoors pre-ceremony with Feiten Photography. The party moved inside for the ceremony and reception with personalized details like a guitar cake made by Derek’s 13 year old cousin! See it all below!

From the photographer, Feiten Photography: Christina and Derek had the most lovely New Years Eve – celebrating the start of their marriage! Their wedding was filled with many memories made and personal touches. The day brought non-stop rain that dampened portrait plans, which lead us to the War Memorial building downtown, which offered a wonderful overhang from the monsoon happening around.

The ceremony was emotional and romantic. Long white curtains were draped from the ceiling and candles lined the aisle. Derek, not being much of crier, could not hold in the tears during the ceremony. The two dismissed each row to the cocktail hour so they could hug and celebrate with everyone.

From the photographer, Feiten Photography: The reception was filled with tons of personal touches. Their first dance song was played by a close friend. Derek’s incredibly talented 13 year old niece made the most elegant guitar groom cake. A massive array of cookies, brownies and cake was provided generously by Christina’s cousin and aunt.

The evening was filled with lots of dancing, loving and anticipation for midnight. The whole party rang in the new year together and surrounded Christina and Derek as they had a last dance to “New Years Day’. A pretty perfect NYE wedding if you ask me. 🙂

Hannah! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful Nashville New Years Eve wedding with us! You can check out more on Feiten Photography here. And also be sure to follow her over on Instagram!
