How did you guys meet?

Bekah: Jason & I met in a very ‘Nashville’ way… on a downtown rooftop on Broadway – ha! The best part was he was visiting for a friend’s bachelor party and lived in Georgia at the time. There was an instant connection as we had conversations about our family, God, and our faith. It was anything but your typical way of meeting someone downtown. We talked all night, he got my number, and the rest is history.

Tell us about your engagement!

Bekah: Jason and I had just flown into California to spend time with my family. Hiking has always been “our thing” so we decided to do a beach hike at Point Dume in Malibu. When we got to the top, there was a Bible on the railing of the boardwalk, overlooking the ocean and the beautiful cliffside. It was opened to 1 Corinthians 13, and highlighted was, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hope, always perseveres… And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Jason closed the Bible to show me the cover, which had “Mrs. Rebekah Digby” engraved in it. He professed his love for me and got down on one knee to ask me to be his wife, and, of course, I said YES! I couldn’t have dreamt of a more perfect day!

What was the vision for your wedding?

Bekah: I wanted our wedding to be timeless. I wanted to keep it very simple but modern. I loved the idea of having an elegant farm wedding that incorporated an outdoor ceremony and an indoor/barn reception, and Front Porch Farms allowed me to have just that!

What details were used to create your wedding theme?

Bekah: We kept our colors very neutral. My bridesmaids each wore a unique dress in shades of blush, dusty rose, and taupe. Our flowers featured a lot of greenery and beautiful white roses. I chose to have a mix of exposed barn wood farm tables as well as a mix of round tables with white table covers as I wanted everything about our special day to reflect ‘southern elegance.’ We had pops of gold incorporated in our decor, table settings, etc. to keep it modern.

Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?

Bekah: We splurged on a couple of things! First, the photo booth, which in my opinion is a MUST. Our guests had a blast posing with all the fun props. It was such a fun activity and made for a unique keepsake for our friends and family. The other thing we splurged on was our getaway car — a 1969 white Bentley. Our driver gave us champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries as we drove downtown. It was such a fun and memorable way to end the best day of our lives! The best decision we made was choosing an all-inclusive wedding venue. It saved us so much time and money. Our venue included catering, flowers, decor, and DJ. It also included two wedding planners to help with all the details. I sent our planners a link to my dream wedding board on Pinterest and was amazed as they did such an incredible job at making it come to life.

What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?

Bekah: Keep it fun! I know it’s easier said than done, but nothing is worse than a stressed-out bride on her big day. I tried to knock out as much wedding planning as I could in the first couple of months so I could relax as the big day got closer. By not worrying about the little things, I was able to fully enjoy our wedding day and take in every special moment.

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?

Bekah: One of my favorite moments from our sophisticated barn wedding was our first look. It was such an intimate and emotional time for just the two of us to share with one another. It felt as if time was standing still in this moment and there was nothing else in the world that mattered, except for each other. I’ll never forget it.
