Tell us about the couple.
From the planner, Sarah: Lindsay and Jerret celebrated their marriage surrounded by a close-knit group of 67 family members and friends in Nashville. Their wedding reflected how much they value the people closest to them, with family and friends playing meaningful roles throughout the day. From the junior members of their wedding party to the family members who gave speeches at the reception, the celebration felt incredibly personal and centered around the people who have been part of their story.
Tell us about the couple’s vision for their wedding.
Sarah: Lindsay and Jerret envisioned a day that felt intimate and sophisticated while still leaving plenty of room for everyone to have fun. They chose two very different settings that complemented each part of the celebration: Cheekwood for a romantic outdoor ceremony and Mere Bulles for an evening reception. They wanted their guests to feel welcomed and included, incorporating details like parasols and water before the ceremony, cocktails and lawn games during the reception, and a playlist that brought their own personality into the evening.
What was their theme and what inspired it? What details were used to create the theme?
Sarah: The couple drew inspiration from the timeless romance of Pride and Prejudice, using a refined green and white palette as the foundation for the day’s design. At Cheekwood, the Wisteria Arbor provided a naturally romantic ceremony backdrop, complemented by florals, a classic welcome sign, and green ribbon accents. The reception carried that aesthetic forward through white linens, custom name cards, taper candles, and vintage-inspired elements. The result was a look that felt classic and romantic while still being relaxed enough for a fun summer celebration.

Can you share your favorite memory or any special moments from the day?
Sarah: One of our favorite details was how many personal touches came directly from the people who made the day possible. Lindsay’s mom personally sugared the fruit that topped the Publix wedding cake, while Lindsay and Jerret’s playlist gave the reception a soundtrack that was completely their own. From the sentimental traditions during the ceremony to the lawn games, cocktails, and tinsel send-off, the day never felt overly staged. It was a thoughtful celebration that balanced beautiful design with the kind of genuine moments guests remember long after the wedding is over.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Sarah: The ceremony included an especially meaningful Irish ring warming tradition, giving Lindsay and Jerret’s family and friends an opportunity to take part in their exchange of rings. Benita Livingston of Living Ceremonies also incorporated personal pieces of their love story into the ceremony, making it feel uniquely theirs. At the reception, heartfelt family speeches brought plenty of laughter and a few happy tears before the celebration continued with cake cutting and, finally, a tinsel send-off as the newlyweds departed as Mr. & Mrs. Towns.
