Simple + sweet weddings are some of my favorite weddings! And Missy + Paul's wedding was just that! They married on a private property on a warm October day with a DIY wooden door ceremony backdrop, a laid-back tented reception and all the love surrounded by friends + family. I love their wedding vibe and from the smiles across everyone's faces + the super fun group photos, it seems as though they have such a tight-knit group of friends… my kind of people! Amy + Chuck of And How! Imaging captured both the silly moments and the deeply heartfelt moments so wonderfully – this wedding really captures the essence of the couple. From the photographer, Amy of And How! Imaging: Missy and Paul's backyard wedding really reflected their laid back and fun personalities. They let go of so much stress and pressure that can often go along with weddings, and instead focused on what was important to them and just had a total blast with each other (and their closest family and friends!) It was such a beautiful day, and while we were surrounded by laughter, shenanigans, and a few happy tears, we were reminded of just how incredible our jobs are.
Some of our favorite highlights from their wedding day include Paul and his groomsmen pulling off their best “hangover” impressions (#squadgoals) while walking down their neighborhood street. Their first look was absolutely fantastic and could have melted the coldest of hearts, but still didn't stop the beautiful reaction Paul had when he saw Missy walking towards him down the aisle- as soon as she reached him they started their ceremony with (several) kisses. Also, their first dance, done to “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, was so sweet- you could tell they were both just incredibly happy.
We loved having the opportunity to meet these two awesome people, and then photograph their full wedding journey- from their engagement session, to their wedding, and then finishing up with a day after session as newlyweds!
