Tell us about The Monroe + how long you’ve been in business.

Sarah: We are a new build event space nestled on 95 acres of middle Tennessee land. We are a family owned and run company, me and my husband drew up the plans and built it from the ground up together. The project took about 1 1/2 years from start to finish. We had our grand opening September 2022. We have an intimate team along with us to help with wedding and venue management

How did you get started in weddings?

Sarah: I’ve always dreamed of being In the event space more full time and me and my husband started tossing around the idea of building our own space. Once we found the land, we new it was right and dove right into building our own space. We knew we wanted it to be a modern and elegant twist on the traditional barn venues you see in Tennessee.

What’s the philosophy behind The Monroe?

Sarah: We are a Christian owned company and believe in the sanctity of marriage between one man and one women.

What are your strengths compared to others in your category?

Sarah: Our simple and elegant design with white walls offers a beautiful blank slate for any wedding theme/vibe. We pay close attention to detail with our custom curved staircase, fold chandeliers, and custom stone pathway, We offer a transitional concept that compliments the trend of steering away from traditional and embracing classic style with bold design.

What attracts couples to your business?

Sarah: We attract couples that want a big event space that is not a barn and is within a reasonable budget, we can hold up to 250 people in our outdoor ceremony space as well as inside for reception. We attract a lot of boho and classic brides that love the simple white space to bring in their custom design. We also attract couples because of how private our land is and the amount of amenities that are included with our wedding packages.

What is the most innovative new product, service, style or other aspect of your industry that brides and grooms might appreciate?

Sarah: Our custom curved staircase as well as our arches is something brides always love. As well as our courtyard and porch area with bistro lights for the best cocktail hour or even outdoor dance floor. We have a fire pit and outdoor furniture

Is there anything else you’d like to share about The Monroe?

Sarah: Tables chairs and linens are included in our wedding packages as well as options for a custom built arbor or a fun backdrop, we love to give our couples the opportunity to make their wedding at THE MONROE unique to there style and they can do just that with one of our custom builds.
