Lesli of Divine Images is sharing how to make the most of your engagement session along with creative ideas to incorporate into your images to make them uniquely yours! Lesli: February is known as the “Month of Love” and although we think EVERY month should carry that title, we will go with that for now. <3
With so many fresh engagements in February, many of them coming from the grand LOVE day of them all, Valentines Day, we love how very creative some couples can be with infusing some “not so subtle” love symbols to a sprinkle of red, pink or some some good old fashioned cuddling into their engagement sessions. From choosing her Grandaddy’s farm as the location spot, flying a kite <3, watching a sunset, snuggling up by a fire with their favorite cup of hot cocoa or just popping a cork of bubbly to celebrate their love, these couples are sure to warm your heart.
Lesli: We are often asked, “What location do you recommend for our engagement session and what should we wear?” And our answer is usually met with a series of questions. “What kind of location do you love? Outdoors, a riverbank, a brewery/bar, a skating rink, your living room? There isn’t a “perfect” place rather a depiction of who you are as a couple. Your photos should be a reflection of your relationship, your personalities so selecting your location and your outfits should be an extension who you are and not just, “Oh this place is nice.” Is this somewhere you two would go as a couple? Pondering all of these ideas will help us choose your “perfect” place together. That is the first step to ensuring you will treasure these photos for a lifetime and not just falling into a “Trend Trap” as we like to call it.
This month why don’t you schedule your engagement session to celebrate your love story?
