Lee Ann + Todd’s Downtown Elopement from Ivory Door Studio | Nashville Real Wedding

Love will find a way! Lee Ann + Todd have known each other since high school and have had eyes for each other for quite some time. Fast forward years later, they reconnected and learned that neither one of them had been married. They rekindled their love and decided to elope right beneath the Nashville skyline on the Pedestrian Bridge. What a story! The group of vendors at Elope in Tennessee teamed up to create a sweet and intimate day for two. Take a look at the photos from Ivory Door Studio along with our interview with planner and officiant Weddings and Events by Raina

Tell us all about the couple!

Raina: Lee Ann and Todd share a love like Romeo and Juliet, minus the tragic ending, of course. A decades old tale of star crossed lovers, family feuds and a fairytale ending… Their story goes back many decades to the days when they were both in high school. He was the star quarterback and she was the head cheerleader, however, a long standing, small town family feud between their loved ones had kept them apart. They were forbidden to date despite their growing attraction. Both eventually graduated and went off to college following their lives down different paths. While standing in line at Kroger, they got to talking and realized fate had just placed them in one another’s path once again. Todd, was shopping with a young man that Lee Ann simply assumed was his grandson. You can imagine her surprise when he introduced his grand-nephew and informed her he had never married. He was equally surprised to find that she had never married either. So, it was at long last, they were united in marriage as it always should have been, in a beautiful private elopement at the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville. They were joined later in the week by family and close friends to celebrate their union and the end of the long standing feud that had kept them apart. Moral of the story? Love ALWAYS wins.

What details were used to create their theme?

Raina: The only special request we had from Lee Ann was to have magnolia leaves in her bouquet. Todd let it slip that strawberries were his favorite, hence the delicious strawberry cake.

Can you share any special moments or highlights of their wedding day?

Raina: While it might have been raining, the bride and groom never even noticed. They only had eyes for each other.

Did they have any special requests or unique challenges you had to work to overcome?

Raina: Despite the rain, they still had a lovely wedding underneath the bridge. Once the skies cleared we were able to take photos on the bridge as well as around Nashville.
