Tell us about the couple.
Whit Meza: The wedding of Jamie and Katie's wedding at Carnton Plantation in Franklin, Tennessee was filled with more than just beautiful images. This southern wedding had a strong importance of family and friends. Within a couple seconds of seeing these two, you know that they were made for each other, and without a doubt their families agree. Even at her mother's birthday celebration, Jamie asked for Katie's hand in marriage. These two met in college, dated for a bit, but then reconnected early 2015, after Kate's family unexpected lost her brother. Jamie, Katie, and their families put on such a gorgeous day. One that left me with a heart so full.
What details were used to create their theme?
Whit Meza: Jamie and Katie's color scheme was filled with gray and light pinks. The florals added in soft pinks, whites and magnolia leaves for the tables.
Can you share any special moments or highlights of their wedding day?
Whit Meza: Katie's brother passed away and there was a strong presence of both remembering him and emotions of how their families wishes he could have been there.
Did they have any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome?
Whit Meza: It was definitely a hot day in June for a TN wedding, but you couldn't tell it affected them at all. It did rain just as they were about to do their exit from the reception, but it couldn't have been a more perfect wedding day for an outdoor garden wedding at the Carnton Plantation in Franklin.
From the vintage plates to the bubble exit, it was a day to remember! Happy Friday!
