Winter weddings are few and far between here in Nashville, but I absolutely love them! They are so cozy and sweet and Katie + Brandon’s is no exception! The sweet couple held and intimate ceremony with just family then went over to Green Door Gourmet to celebrate with friends as well! The quaint feel of their photos from the vintage red truck to the donut tower is super personal and unique! I love how they decided to make so many elements personal to them. From the photographer, Amy Allmand: Katie and Brandon chose to keep their wedding party small, just the two of them. No attendees, but family did play their roles. They were married in a beautiful chapel in Brentwood, TN and celebrated with family & friends at a rustic reception venue in West Nashville.
Katie: It was on a random Sunday afternoon at Satco which is where we met! He had to do it at a normal place on a normal day or I would have suspected something…..this way i was completely shocked!!!
Katie: We had a private, intimate ceremony with family only then invited friends to join us for the reception after. It was really important to us to make the ceremony sacred and about the vows and we were very happy with that decision. My favorite moments of the day were getting to eat together in the cottage at Green Door while our guests were arriving….it was great to have that time together (and we were hungry!!). I also loved our donut bar from Donut Den. Brandon and I both love donuts, so we knew from the get go our guests would enjoy this as well.
Katie: Don’t overthink it! Usually if you love it there is a reason. We had a very short (4 month!) engagement so I had to make decisions quickly and move on. The day was perfect and i didn’t want to change a thing….just goes to show your first instinct is probably right!
