When it came to choosing a spot for their e-session, Alanna and Sean weren’t afraid of a little adventure. In fact, since they love the outdoors they were excited when their photographer Shannon Voss Photography recommended a flirty waterfall engagement session at Machine Falls. The pair posed on the cliffs and splashed their feet in the water before taking more photos amongst the leafy scenery of the setting. Everything about the shoot was so natural that you would never even know know they were camera shy. If you’re on the quest for a romantic spot for your pre-wedding photos, take notes on this waterfall engagement session!

Alanna: Definitely Shannon for photography. I fell in love with her style of photography well before I got engaged and knew I wanted her to capture these special moments for us.
What aspect of being engaged has surprised you the most?
Alanna: How much planning and energy actually goes into planning a wedding!

What was it like working with your photographer?
Alanna: It was amazing. My fiancé and I are both a bit camera shy and feel awkward being the center of attention. Shannon was absolutely incredible at not only directing us for our poses, but made it feel as comfortable as breathing!
What did you like most about the session?
Alanna: How intimate it felt. It was a very romantic experience spending time holding each other and keeping eye contact. For some reason I assumed that the intimacy in these sessions would feel very artificial, but it felt the exact opposite!
Would you recommend the photographer and why?
Alanna: I would absolutely recommend Shannon! Not only does she have an incredible and unique style of photography, but she is so personable and sweet. She made the entire session feel effortless and enjoyable.
