Libby and Corey’s Nashville wedding was a beautiful blend of timeless elegance and lively New Orleans flair. Centered around a sophisticated palette of moss, olive, and lime greens accented with creams and metallic touches, their celebration felt both classic and deeply personal. The ceremony held extra meaning as it took place in the very church Libby’s grandfather helped design—making the moment even more sentimental as she married the man of her dreams. The festivities continued with lush hydrangea-filled centerpieces, a custom dog-themed bar, and unforgettable surprises throughout the reception, including a family-inspired ice cream treat honoring Libby’s family’s historic Nashville ice cream factory, a joyful balloon drop, and a jubilant jazz second line that led guests dancing through the streets to keep the celebration going. These images captured by Rebecca Musayev Photography beautifully tell the story of this celebration. Go ahead and give them a scroll!

Tell us about the couple’s vision.
Libby: Elegant, classic, timeless with NOLA flair.
What was the theme and what inspired it?
Libby: Getting married in the church my grandfather helped design. Getting married to the man of my dreams. The reception centerpieces and the customized bar that is my dog themed. My balloon drop. My family ice cream surprise in the middle of the reception. Dancing with my people!

What details were used to create the theme?
Libby: The wedding colors are greens– moss green, olive green, lime greens, creams, golds, silvers. Lots of green hydrangeas and antique hydrangeas, but lots of different varieties of different greens and creams. Leaning more into the sophisticated moody green pallet with added pops of cream/whites, rather than the typical very clean light, bright. Staying sophisticated with the greens and not going boho.
Can you share any special moments or highlights of the wedding day?
Libby: YES! during the reception– we pass[ed] out soda jerk hats for everyone to wear with our logo on them and mini ice cream sandwiches with our logo/stickers on them. THIS [WAS] A HUGE SURPRISE. Local family history involved with my family’s old ice cream factory here in Nashville.
We also had a balloon drop at the end of the reception. We can’t hide it hanging on the ceiling– it is what it is.
We also had a second line with the jazz band after the reception is over. Everyone was waving hankies as me and my groom walk out of the hotel, jazz band in front of us leading the way. We danced a little in the hotel exterior entry and capture that moment and then we all walked to cross eyed critters– 4 min walk down the street @ the graduate hotel.
Did you have any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome?
Libby: Just the surprise balloon drop, surprise family ice cream during the reception, and second line with jazz band from Hutton Hotel to the Graduate Hotel.

From sentimental traditions to joyful surprises, every detail reflected Libby and Corey’s love for family, celebration, and a little bit of fun. Huge thank you to these two and to Rebecca Musayev Photography for sharing this gorgeous celebration with us!
