A woodsy elopement in the Nashville area was the perfect choice for Danielle + Kamron. The nature loving couple opted for a small intimate wedding at Butterfly Hollow and created a scene that looked like it was straight out of a styled shoot! From the hanging floral ceremony backdrop to the unique favors, the scene was oh-so sweet. With the help of their photographer, Morgan Franklin Creative, they were able to seal their memories forever with these gorgeous shots. See them all below and hear all about their wedding day!
About the Couple and the Wedding from photographer, Morgan Franklin: When it was time to start planning their wedding, Danielle and Kamron found themselves drawn to something intimate and magical. They began planning their wedding in Danielle’s home state of Tennessee all the way from Wichita, Kansas and found Butterfly Hollow, a hidden gem tucked in the Tennessee forests perfect for couples looking for an ethereal and intimate venue.
Together with 30 of their closest friends and family, Danielle walked down the aisle to Hozier’s “Like Real People Do.” The navy, oxblood, jade, blush, and gold color palette fit the Tennessee forests for an atmosphere that was intimate, natural, and romantic.
Thinking of her family, Danielle wanted to create a special touch for each guest reminding her of her home state of Tennessee. Each place setting included a wood slice with burned tree branch designs reminiscent of her Tennessee roots. Danielle fell in love with the idea of multicolored water goblets, so she antiqued for weeks to find all the perfect pieces, giving them to their guests as a keepsake from the day.
For Danielle and Kamron’s sweetheart table, their place settings held a custom embroidery hoop featuring the waning moon, which they were both born under, and the mountains of Yosemite, where Kamron proposed.
With the help of Moonlight and Moss, Danielle customized her pleated bodice lace wedding gown to really make it her own. A bridal sash with petite golden flowers budding with ivory pearly stamens from Davie & Chiyo to cinch the waist and off the shoulder lace sleeves.

1. Danielle + Kamron’s Favorite Memory from their Wedding Day
We would have to say trying to keep ourselves from seeing one another before that walk down the aisle. Our venue was so confined that it made any move risky!
2. Why They Chose an Intimate, Elopement-style Wedding
Kamron and I living so far from home definitely helped with our decision. Keeping our wedding intimate was important because we could really focus on the time we have with our closest family and friends.
3. One Piece of Advice They’d Give to Couples Planning Their Wedding
Surround yourself with the best people to make your day everything you want it to be. From your planner to your officiant, be sure that they are people who you are comfortable with and have no doubts in.
4. Why They Incorporated the Waning Moon
While in college, Kamron and I had taken a trip to Washington D.C. During our time there, one of the places we visited was the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution. In their gift shop, there was a little kiosk where you could type in your birth date and it would tell you what phase the moon was in on that date. Of course I typed in mine and Kamron’s. We both happen to have been born during the waning moon. I thought it was such a sweet, little connection between us that I wanted it incorporated in some way!
5. How Kamron Proposed in the Mountains of Yosemite
Kamron was traveling a lot during the beginning of his career. He was taking a trip to Sacramento, CA, and I had the chance to go with him. We love to hike and just be in nature, so we planned a small trip to Yosemite. It was early March 2016, so it was quite chilly in Northern California. The day we went was also a bit drizzly. Surprising, because California had been experiencing a drought. After seeing Yosemite Falls and a few other areas, we decided to hike the trail up to Vernal Fall. Unfortunately, it ended up being closed due to weather conditions. After hiking back down towards the entrance of the trail, Kamron suggested we veer off the path to go closer to the waters of the Merced River. Kamron and I were exploring when suddenly he was down on one knee. Just he and I with no one around on a drizzly day in beautiful Yosemite, I said yes. I can only imagine how nerve-wracked he was with a ring in his pocket, hiking around, and trying to find THE spot. Nonetheless, it was perfect no matter how soaked and chilled we were.
