How did the couple get engaged?
From the photographer, Jennifer: Berhtier proposed to Ghislain after church on December 24th, 2022. Ghislain hadn’t been home in awhile so she had so many people to say hi too. She was talking up a storm and taking forever to go upstairs to the “special” location, the prayer room. Her friends and family all disappeared while Ghislain was in the sanctuary and there was one person designated to make sure Ghislain got upstairs, Denae. To quicken the pace, Ghislain was told that Claudine (her family friend who she calls her sister and was pregnant and due any day at that time!) was there and needed to see Ghislain. Ghislain was trying to rush upstairs. Denae came with Ghislain and said Claudine was in the prayer room. Ghislain was quite alarmed because it was extremely quiet. Ghislain thought that something was wrong with the baby. Ghislain tried to get in and went to the wrong door, and almost messed up her own engagement. Thankfully, someone was holding down the door because Ghislain was about to put her whole body into opening that door! She was led to the right door and Berhtier was there with family and friends and a beautiful marry me set up! Ghislain was super shy because she didn’t expect the amount of people and all the cameras. Berhtier asked Ghislain a very special question, and she said YES!! One of the best moments of Ghislain’s life!
Tell us about the engagement session. Where did it take place?
Jennifer: Ghislain and Berhtier’s Engagement Session took place at Cumberland Park in Nashville, TN. We enjoyed exploring the park while taking photos as we explored! We did their session around golden hour so we were able to capture some beautiful, glowy images for them to cherish forever! And we even got to see some turtles swimming in the Nashville River!
What’s the significance of the location?
Jennifer: Ghislain really wanted to come and see Nashville, so we made it happen for her and Berhtier!

What was it like working with the couple?
Jennifer: They were a DREAM couple to serve! We loved every minute getting to know them, and they were just beautiful in front of the camera! They are a super fun and loving couple, and we became friends instantly!
What did you like most about the session?
Jennifer: My favorite part about the session was when we found some turtles swimming in the Nashville river! Ghislain was just so excited to see the turtles, so we stopped our session for a minute to take a peak!
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Jennifer: Ghislain originally found us online because her sister had found us online through our website and loved our attention to detail and how we served our couples. Later, when I was talking to Ghislain’s sister, she said that it was our story that made her and Ghislain want to work with us for their engagement and wedding day! This just made my heart so happy!

We adore this engagement session at Cumberland Park! Thanks to this lovely couple and photographer for sharing!
