Pantone Color of the Year 2017: Greenery

Every year, the color experts at Pantone choose a color of the year. It's usually a color that's based on what fashion designers have created for the spring 2017 runways. Pantone decided to give us a green for a fresh take in 2017. Greenery is the Pantone color of the year for 2017! We've been seeing green a LOT in weddings – from centerpieces to bouquets and even cakes surrounded in greenery, Nashville brides are keeping this trend around for the coming year. In honor of the new color of the year, I've put together a roundup of my favorite greenery from this past year. Yes, these are all from Nashville weddings! 1) Greenery in Your Florals + Plant Decor

Adding green plants and floral decor at your wedding is a great way to incorporate the green trend! A full green wedding bouquet complete with succulents is definitely a showstopper! Adding elements like topiaries and green moss throughout your wedding is also a fun way to bring on the green!

2) Greenery Wreaths + Signage

Using greenery in an unexpected way is SO on trend for 2017! Think hanging greenery wreaths – even suspending them in open air to create a more whimsical look – is so much fun! Attach leaves to your wedding signage or surround your gobo initial with a wreath for a more organic look.

3) Accenting Food and Cakes with Greenery

I'm not talking green eggs + ham here, but incorporating hints of green into your wedding food is a fun spin on the green trend! Adding greenery to the outside of your simplistic (or naked!) cake and offering a more heathy green option for your guests to nosh on during your wedding will be very appreciated (like these salads at Lauren + Taylor's wedding!).

4) Greenery in Your Lighting

Hanging greenery on your wedding chandeliers is going to be huge in 2017! Ask your florist to lay sprigs of greenery across a small industrial chandelier to soften the look or go big with a rectangular lit chandy to maximize your wow-factor!
